View Full Version : Water fast Beginning Monday Jan. 30

Elizabeth

I am going to begin a 21 day water fast on Monday..and was wondering if anyone would like to join me. I have been eating almost 100% raw for over a week and have gotten through the initial headache/detox period..and feel the need to go on..and do the fast.

My reasons for water fasting now are my desire for improvements in

1.) Focus.. I have a lot I need to do and eating is becoming a nuisance...and feels unnecessary at times.. lol. And I feel such mental focus when I eat lightly or fast..and I need that now.

2.) Health/Weight Loss.. I have gained weight in the past several years..and want to lose it and radically improve my health physically and emotionally.

3) Depression..stagnation.. Although this has improved quite a bit in the last week or so since I began eating Raw again, I feel I need to jump start and gain more momentum for this transition and change through fasting.

4.) Awareness....I want to become more centered..more balanced..as I have life-altering decisions coming up in the next weeks and months...I want to make them from as centered and balanced a place as possible.

It would be nice to have some other people at roughly the same stage in their Water fasts with whom to discuss the process..and share support....

Blessings... elizabeth

hey kitty,
\
fasting is a "concentrated" way of detoxifying and healing the body thru juice or water fasting--some use borths and herbs etc.

Becuase the body is not eating any solid foods, the digestive system shuts down and the body can concentrate on cleansing, detoxify and heal the body. there are different stages of healing and various symptoms can arise.

those that are blood sugar sensitive usually do juice fasting. over a year ago, I could not handle a juice fast b/c i was so sensitive sugar blood and body wise. NOw, I am in almost 30 days of juice fasting and today I have only had 24 oz of juice b/c my body is starting to want only water and simple teas.

i will find my post that show the outline of what fasting can do.

Kitty69,

here is the link to a site i really like---don't hesitate to search other fasting sites as they all may touch upon the fasting a little differently. Water fasting is VERY intense--honestly, IMO, if this is your first time, I would try a juice fast and see how well you can handle it.......but my all means, if you feel right doing a water fast, go for it. any health concerns for you? btw, welcome and best wishes to you in rawland! :)

** when you get to the site, look on the right hand column and there are various topics that help you understand what fasting is and the what to expect during the process.

Hi MissLinda and Kitty and Lady Green Jeans.....

I hope you are all doing well this evening....

My first day went by smoothly....I was so busy, it was a relief to not have to think about food at all. I bought some of the Trinity Water that David Wolfe recommends in Eating For Beauty..it is high in alkalizing minerals..and I am more hydrated than normal. I feel a little heavy or something in the head..congested a bit, maybe....but beside that, I feel great. I love the emotional clarity and focus that emerge so quickly for me when fasting...

I bought some epsom salts and also a prepackaged detox bath and later this week will take a detox bath..and do them regularly throughout the fast ..a couple of times a week, probably.... I may also have a couple of colonics..I am not sure...

Well....blessings to you Miss Linda....with your fast...and to anyone who is fasting..and to all of us in our raw food journeys....

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, I ended up listening to my body and so my water fast is tapering into that direction as I steer away from juices.

Are you using any kind of eliminator?

btw, i love your avatar--who is th artist or where did you get it from?

Hi Misslinda

I was wondering if you have been doing a juice fast for all of january ? I just started a juice fast today and I am planning on doing one for 3-5 days. Is doing a juice fast longer than this safe ? how have you been feeling thus far on your fast ?

any insight into how things have been going with you would be wonderful to hear !

thank you and good luck to you ! Aimee

Hi Aimpear,

Yes, I've been juice fasting since late first week of January. I change it this time around from the fast I did in Early december for 12 days.

~I am not salt flushing every morning.

~this time I added a couple of teas

~not juiced as often

~less workout b/c of my back and neck

I did a fast in December to rid this major depression etc then I allowed myself to become the victim of SAD and suffered the consequences. So my fast this time around is taking me longer to detoxify and feel lifted. So far, I have been able to manage and get thru. I'm going thru alot of changes that are chronic throughout the day that range from emotional to physical. I literally feel like I'm coming out from a hole and seeing light for the first time. There are days where I feel weak and get a little anxious but the best thing to do is rest and let it take its course.

As far as safety, what I have come across and my own experience in the past, is if you have sugar blood issues, best to juice with green and some fruits that way you get a balance. Over a year ago, I tried to juice for one day and I literally was about to faint. My body was not strong enough so here I am a year later and jucing over a month! Try it for one day and add on days as it feels right........you will go thru things like weakness, tiredness and all sorts of strange things that are unexplainable but neccessary.

Do you have any health concerns?

I am looking to do a water fast when my body tells me.

:)

Hi MissLinda....and other fasters...

I am not using any kind of eliminator regularly..but will use Laci Le beau as needed...and maybe have a colonic or two....

Day 2 went by smoothly...no headache yet..the threat of a very localized one that never materialized... I am not really hungry...more just missing the activity of eating...and the taste, some..but not horribly. I am not even thinking of foofd really...and that helps a lot..no planning what i will eat when I am off the fast...it is just the fast...that is where I am now.. There is so much else going on..that it is actually a relief to not have to think about food..I am realizing more and more what a huge amount of energy I would typically put into food...much more than is required for sustenance..even thriving..

I need to sleep more...and make sure I drink enough water...

blessings...

I just finished a 5 day 50% juice and 50% water fast, I lost 8 lbs doing it :D .
the first 2 1/2 days were tough, I was very hungary drinking 8oz every 2 hours or so. The 3rd, and 4th day and fifth day were easy. Even on the 6th day the only thing I added was a avacado meal from the food processor and 80/20 juice and water. then on monday I had a business meeting with my other partners a vegetarain/sad meal and of course it bloated me all day long and I felt terrible :( . Then today,(tue) after lunch I felt nuasa and it all came back up :( . So I back on my juicy and water soaking my inside slowwwwly again.

But, WOW, good for you for going that long of a distance.
What kind of work outs are you doing while on your fast?
I didn't do as much outdoor mountain biking, but still did hard body work out.
Tell about the salt flushing? what exactly is it?

this time around is alot harder than the fast i did in december which i had a period of SAD eating. I am a cardio freak. I walk and jog but this time around my body wanted to rest more and it's been in the last week that my body has been craving fast walking or lite jogging........i do have restrictions b/c of neck and back injuries so this is the extent of my activities.

it's a mixture of unrefined celtic grey salt mixed in warm water that is used in the MASTER CLEANSER program----used to rid the toxins out of the tissue and colon. Has a laxative affect pushing it all out! I find it is harsh for me this time around so instead of doing it everyday, I am doing it every 3-6 days.

Well today I only juiced twice and drank water for most of the day. :)

I do not have any health issues, I am a just 24 and feeling like crap! I have been on raw for almost a week and I am feeling better but was considering doing a juice fast or a water fast to help detox quicker but not sure if that is what I should do. I wish you luck with your water fast. let me know how it goes . I will start incorporating more juice into my diet and maybe one day I can be where you are at right now !

good luck to you!

misslinda,
I agree with the cardio - I'd rather go mountain biking or walking or swimming, or hiking or canoeing anything outside :D :D verses working out in weight room :( , but aleast I can use a bowflex - total gym - and the excercise balls for doing abs and core muscles.
I assume as my body gets more regulated and more junk comes out of me i should have more energy for my next fast :) .I need to check the master cleanse info . Have you heard of EJUVA for total body cleanse?
check out -
www.ejuva.com/dear.html#top I've been researching for some good ones with organic ingredients. And the process of them.

Keep plugging away with your juicing and water :) Keep me informed with your progress.
Is your neck and back injuries healable in time?

Elizabeth,

You seem to handle this water fast so well--I believe your calmness is rubbing on me! This morning marks the frist day of my water fast (knock on wood) I have 13 hours to prove that to myself. I did muscle testing and my body didn't want anything but WATER so no argument there.

PATH301,

Yes, I have heard of EJUVA --I tend to stay away from herbal concentrations b/c I have a different view of them b/c of my tcm influence growing up. Besides, my accupuncturist/herbalist indicated which herbs are not good for my condtion and body type. I like to keep it simple.

Goddess_girl,

Water fast is safe but very intense or at least for most. I'm just starting my pure water fast as of this morning and see how I feel.......I'll report the reactions since it's my first time.

hi misslinda,

I read your post and know you are in juice fasting and turn to water fasting.
I am in juice fasting day 35. ( I started to stain the juice after 15 days). So my detoxification is not that fast. Today, I feel weak and sleepy and headache. Did you have BM everyday?
Till now, I do not see a big improvement so I keep fasting and detoxfying.. I will stop when I feel renew and see lights.

Wish you go well!
with blessing

Rainbow (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) WOWSERS to you.......i pretty much removed the foam from my juice and didn't drink as much water as I know I should have. I had a very tiny bm drop the 3 day and that was it. I do the salt flush every
6 days but my body is now telling me it doesn't want that at all. I have no desire for any juices as of today. This is the first day of water fasting.............

I felt dizzy at times, overwhelmed and like I was going to have a panic attack --and pass out but I could feel all the energy in my kidneys releasing so i breathed and let it takes it course. Right now, all the energy and movement is circulating thru my legs and cleansing. This is REALLY powerful and I'm constantly thristy.

First time fasting? what are you juicing? what kind of health concerns brought you to fasting if at all?

:)

It is going very smoothly actually..which is such a hoot! I have been getting more done than usual because, in spite of the fact that i have periods of weakness..I am much more focused...and wow..did I ever spend a lot of time eating and thinking about and getting food before. LOL

I have been working strategically.....with my office on my bed..and doing more physical things when able... i have stretched some..and done a (very )small amount of pilates type floor work...to stretch out my lower back and help with tissue stagnation...

I took an epsom salt bath last night with some essential oils..and it was lovely. This weeken..actually maybe tonight, I willl do a detox bath with chapparall in it..and variou salts..It is Wise Woman herbals brand, I believe.

I feel very focused..very determined..i have ketosis testing strips..so i know I am in ketosis now..it took longer than usual..I must have built up a big glycogen store before i started the fast..also i am almost 6' 2" so it takes a bit longer to exhaust it...

I have not been online that much..so i am sorry i have not responded specifically or promptly to questions..but I hope you all are doing well...and I think I will start feeling a little better after my body gets used to the fasting state...and will be online more t hisd weekend maybe..

I have lost about 8 lbs. so far, I think....and am noticing that my face seems clearer...and my eyes already , a bit..maybe i am imagining that lol... my mind and heart are certainly feeling clearer, although i have moments of spaciness...and have to watch it that I do not get up too quickly from a reclining or sitting position.

Oh..also..I would recomment the Fuhrman book on Fasting and Eating for life..and also, the classic book on Fasting by herbert shelton. It is encouraging to me to read the case studies of insdividuals who healed and transformed themselves and their lives through fasting and a shift to a healthy life style.

Well..Happy fasting...

Blessings..

Hi Misslinda,

It is awesome to read your experience! I can see that your detoxification is quite fast.. Admire you!

This is my third time of fasting, but the longest one. My main source of juice are Celery, Apple, Cabbages, beet and carrot. I do not do Salt flush, for I did it in my last time fasting, and did not work always. I was not feeling well if all the salty water inside. I try to drink more apple juice if I do not have enough BM. If apple juice does not help, I just do warm water enemas.

Today, I feel much better than yesterday, I am feeling like some invisible energy is healing my kidney.

I have problems with kidney and liver and lung (my chinese doctor said). Normally, I will cough from every spring until summer. I wish I can totally restore my health through this fasting.

I will try water fasting in the end of my juice fasting, I will let my body to tell me what to do.

Happy fasting and wish you all well,

It is very encouraging

Rainbow, I made the mistake of jucing too much...lokking at my hands, I realixzed, I didn't drink enough water. Now that I am hydrating, I am going thru intense cleansing and healing. Hooray for your "second wind" Your doinhg awesome!!!! :)

Same here, the dmapness issue is a concern for me too as I was raised on TCM and friends of the family are my accupunturist/herbalist. I combined TCM and raw foods to have the best of both worlds although they believe I should be eating cooked.

My spleen is shot since my liver is overworked which goes for my kidneys as well. Something that I discovered that helped my coughing etc was elm water tea for the lining and then drinking fenugreek tea. Yellow dock is a bitter that helps dampness as well.

Lately, the soaked green tea has done magic!!! I coughed out some awesome phlegm and blew out some dark mucous :)

Always keep shoulder and neck warm :)

Dear Misslinda,

I am very happy to read your message!!! I secretly do my fasting and do not let my family and friends know. They would worry me if they know. I will tell them when they see me glowing and ask how come.

So supprising, I believe Chinese medical treatment and raw food power. I really would like to combine both too! I put vegetables in the warm water (close to body tempeture) so I do not feel cold to drink in such cold winter  .

Like you too, I juice a lot and my hand are full of beet traces :) .. I should drink more water..

You know so many natural ways of taking good care of health.. thanks for the sharing. I will start to drink green tea from today.

By the way, what does TDM mean?

i believe we will share more for the end of fasting..

Hi Rainbow..Miss Linda...:)

This is the evening of my fifth day...I do not have too much energy right nw..have been drinking some "smart water" for the electrolytes..and also trinity water...along with my other kinds... am able to get what i need to done...and actually am accomplishing more I have lately when I was not fasting...

I am going to take a detoz bath tonight...I am curious to see how it feelos..and am also going to be starting dry skin brushing. Do any of you do that regularly? Do you notice any affect?

Well...take care..and happy fasting...

Elizabeth

misslinda

I do the skin brushing and find it to be helpful in stimulating the lymph system. I also so detox bath with mustard seed powder and epsom salts. Tonite was with citronella and geranium essential oils and salts.

Elizabeth, out of all the waters, which is your favorite. I am doing the trinity water like you mentioned if I remember correctly.

I make sure I bounce everyday in the form of lite jogging or bouncing in place--that seems to be the most helpful.

I have been lazy about deep breathing exercises but will do tonite.

Great to hear it is moving along Elizabeth--btw, your TALL ! I'm 5'1 and a few

Elizabeth
02-04-2006, 08:27 AM
Hi MissLinda...

I like the Trinity and the Smart water the best.. I also found this mint water that is nice if your breath starts getting funky during the day LOL I went out and spent money on various waters and natural toiletry/detox products..it was funny. if I am not eating, I need to indulge my senses in some other way...

I am thinking of getting a rebounder...I have an inversion table and thought of using it the other day..but was a little nervous since I feel dizzy sometimes.. actually..it might help with that..temporarily, at least, save my heart from having to pump the blood all the way up to my brain.... also, Inverting is supposed to stimulate lymph flow.

I think I am going to get some organic coffee and do a coffee enema...and I definitely need to drink more water..I have perpetual cotton mouth...How is that for you? Are you water fasting now?

I keep saying I am going to start doing some yoga..but it seems so difficult now...but maybe just a few simple postures..I will look at my tapes... My lower back is aching...maybe because my period is coming..I am curious to see how that will be with me fasting...

well..take care...

:) Morning Elizabeth,

yes, i'm water fasting and I do get that cotton mouth quite often. the toxins are moving so fast that I can't keep up with the water consumption. I had to make water runs to the store 4 times! Anyway,my favorite is Penta water but for the minerals, I am really digging this Trinity water.

What's this mint water?

misslinda

I really believe water fast is the "Art of Falling in Love with Yourself."

Ending the nite with a more fluidity to my toxins not the typical jumpy feeling they create. :)

Elizabeth

I am not hungry AT ALL!!!! But I am weak..I get dizzy when I stand and have trouble walking, especially if I am carrying something. I need to stay home more, but I am in school full-time. The mental exercise is o.k. but getting from class to class is difficult sometime...LOL

I am planning on going for 21 days....but am going to have to start having colonics...I think that will help..I feel like there are toxins that are not being eliminated fast enough. Also I need to drink more water...it is an effort though...

On the bright side..I started my period.. and did not get a migraine.. GOOD NEWS!!! I am going to stick with it...and hope that i able to continue to do the things that i need to do...

I love the detox baths...it feels wonderful to soak in that ot tub of water....hmmmmm...so yummy.....:D

Elizabeth, I am going thru the same. I'm getting more dizzy and I tend to move to fast. I 've been having spotting as if my period was ending but haven't had it yet........more bumps on my fingers.

Wow school full time? Dang, if you can do that, then there are no excuses for the rest of us!!!! :)

Elizabeth
02-06-2006, 10:43 PM
Hi MissLinda.....

My period is just like that too..really nothing so far... I read in one of my fasting books that if you are sitting or lying down and are going to get up, if you take a few rather fast deep breaths you prepare your heart for the getting up...and I tried it and it worked for me.... Also, I have noticed that after I am up walking for a bit, I feel better..it is just getting used to the upright position LOL..but of course, after a while I get tired and need to rest.

I think I am doing better with the water...and weight is dropping very well...about 17-19 lbs so far...it fluctuates some..depending on how much I drink.. I know that is a lot of weight to move so quickly..but I am so tall and have a bit to lose..and it comes off fast at first for me..

I looked at your pictures..and you can certainly tell a big difference...you are doing so great..and are such an encouragement..I am going to get the stuff for some of your bath recipes and do one this weeken. I have some packaged detox baths..one of them is Dr. Singh's Mustard Bath....but I want to make my own.. :)

well..have a good night...

Thank you for the tips on "getting up" I should be more gently as I'm NOT. I am starting to keep water in every room b/c my toxins are moving so fast that I literally have a hard time keeping up...it's hilarious.

YEs, you are tall! that's AWESOME 17-19 lbs !!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoahHHHHHHHHHH AND in class full time. Any of your instructors and commarades questioning the drastic change in your appearance since fasting?

You're doing fantastic. Truly if it wasn't for you to start this thread, I probably wouldn't have been as passionate about water fasting.

Hi Leeleelocs..

anytime someone water fasts for over 3 days they go into ketosis..it is actually a muscle sparing condition..where a higher proportion of fat is burned for fuel..that is what produces the ketones.

There is some written about this in Joel Furhman's fasting and eating for life..and also "fasting to Freedom" I believe..... and Herbert Shelton recorded positive results from many lengthy water fasts that he supervised..there is also record of water fasting being used as a healing modality thousands of years ago..and it is a great healer, and not to be feared if done properly. I feel its healing power already....and am certainly continuing on...

Blessings.....

Hi MissLinda...

My days also are becoming more challenging.. Congratulations on sticking with it...Tonight is the end of my day 10..and I am thinking of possible switching to a juice fast during the week, when I have class...and still water fasting on the weekends...
I feel like the complete water fast right now might be a bit much (understatement LOL) considering my school schedule..... I am feeling so weak...I wish I could just lie in bed all day...

I will probably hold out until I have a colonic..and see if that helps...also I have been thinking of adding some non caf. teas..like herbal teas with no sweetener...but I do not know if that would help...

Any suggestions, MissLinda? If I was not trying to do Raw I would make that potassium broth I have read about......I know that would help....

One thing I know..eating Raw seems a lot easier to me now....like a veritable feast.....

Bonjour Elizabeth!

YEs, I was wondering that myself--with your busy schedule and using whatever strength adn energy you have for studying..............

If you decide to do teas, my personal suggestions would be:

start off with warm water with lemon juice to cleasne the liver/kidneys--perhaps even a little ginger added to give your blood flow some vitality.

Green tea: soaked in warm water over night

Red clover

dandelion root tea

Triphala powder
-------------------------------

Herbal teas are drying (b/c they are concentrated)to the system so I would make sure you are well hydrated. I was warned about over cleansing by a hearbalist --so use with caution.

What type of water have you been drinking on your fast misslinda?

And will you be okay for our 5 day fast?

You have done such an admirable job fasting this long - and cleansing your body and keeping everybody abreast on the different changes that your body is going through as it heals it's self.
Everytime I get on here to check out what's going on I know I can count seeing misslinda's daily input. ~ "What a woman!!"
hope you have great dreams tonight and some peace :)

WOWSERS Elizabeth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 days is a long time..........I still amazed at your going to school full time and studying EEEK!!! :) How do you feel? I was going to mention, apple juice is a really stomach friendly juice. I"ll be followning your progress!

Congrats Congrats Congrats ;) :) :p

Good morning Path301,

I started drinking Trinity a brand of water that Elizabeth suggestively offered. I have always been a Penta water consumer but on this water fast, it is more economical and it has the minerals in it. Otherwise, I would revert back to Penta What 'bout you? Ugh yeah, the changes right noew are freakin painful and intense--I was at the grocery store and some paramedics walked in to shop. I was ready to fall on my knees and be wisked away...........water fasting is OMG, unlike anything else. :)

Hey if youre water fasting does drinking anything aside from water pull you out of the fasting state?

Hey misslinda,
In my area I have'nt heard of Elizabeth's, trinity water or your water Penta. So I 'll have to do some hunting. I've got some spring water here.
I've heard some people talk about rocky mountain spring water, do you know anything about that?
Tomorrow is the big day :). The last 50/50m fast I did was 50% grapefruit juice with some orange juice and 50% water. I lost 8 lbs doing it which was sweeeet!! But for some reason the last 3 days of it I had no bm movement  . The first 3 days I had bowel movements everyday. I must be full of "it" lololol :D
Then as I weaned myself back to raw foods I did it too soon and had problems.

So I picked up some organic: carrots/celery/kiwi/apples,(no fuji),/brussel sprouts and some non organic mango's/pineapple/ spinach.

The last fast i did iwas famished for the first 2 days then my appetite shrunk down, but i was still drinking juice about every 3 to 4 hours.

What do you think about it?, Do I need more greens?

misslinda

Hey Path301,

Here is a link to Penta

http://www.pentawater.com/team.shtml

Spring water has the minerals in them.

Some people do okay with just fruits but I I have a history of blood sugar sensitivities etc so if you feel that is what your body needs, then no need to add more greens. Main thing is to abstain from food, strain your juices to rid any pulp. You will get to the point where no BM's will take place since the digestive system is shutting down and there is no fiberous materials to sweep the colon. Eliminators are optional on fasts.

Actually I'm a little confused...are you or did you start a new fast? are we speaking our "seahawks" fast? Yeah, be careful even short fasts, you can negatively effect your stomach.

Hi Miss Linda...

Just a little closure on the water portion of my fasting...

I went 10 days..and lost about 20 lbs...which shows how much I needed to do this LOL... I am starting on juice today.... I have grapefruit and also some tangerine and orange...and also some of those frozen wheatgrass juice cubes that i am going to drink each day.

I plan on drinking just enough juice to keep from being weak and dizzy..but that is it .... I am thinking maybe about a liter a day..plus the wheatgrass and water...

I am curious how much juice you drink (approximately) a day when you juice fast? Also, finally I found a copy of this magazine, Conscious choice, that contains advertisements for colon-hydrotherapy...so I will be having one of them soon..maybe even today...

You have gotten me hooked on Detox baths lol....I did bnot have the strength for them for a while..but I will now...Oh..that will be lovely.

I wish I could afford a fasting retreat... If I did not have to do other things simultaneously....I could water fast a long time..Hmmmmm....darn the need to walk and and to speak intelligibly..

WOWSERS Elizabeth! 20 lbs in ten day!!!! YEs, be gentle to yourself b/c that is very intense..........only my personal suggestion but I would introduce low glycemic juices first before concentrated ones like orange, pineppale etc---only and a good portion of green juices for balance. To avoid shock to the body.

I looked into the chapparall herb that i am going order next week.

when I juiced, I did 12-16 oz 4 times a day. The longer the fast, theless juice and more water. Majority was green juices. I used the following fruits: apples everyday. I put ginger in my first juice of the day every morning. Towards mid way to end oranges, grapefruits and then papaya.

:) :)

ps- i'm hooked on the baths also

HI Linda and Elizabeth,

I am happy to read your messages here and know you two are doing so well with water fasting.

I am on my second cycle of healing process: Liver pain, cough, kidney pain, flu. I look aweful. The body is so mystic. I start to experience all my pass sickness, except my mind is very clear, all the rest of my body is in the state of dumping toxin. I pray that I can finish the detox as soon as possible.. maybe I will speed up with water fast in the end.
I am too too busy with my job and everyday, I have to travel quite long time to go to work.

Linda, where are you? You can speak French? That is amazing!
I can speak a bit French and understand quite a lot.

By reading your messages, I am encouraged to keep on my fasting..
Thanks, and take a good care,

Love

Hi Elizabeth,

I have heard that trinity has healing power!!! But I am here in Europe and cannot find this kind of Water...

I will search some good water too...

I heard someone said for water fasting, we should try to rest as much as possible, so we can direct all our energy to do clearning and healing...
I cannot have time to rest, that is why I choose juice fasting, but juice fast take so long.....

Wish you well and take good care,
-rainbow

Here is some info on TRINITY WATER--it's been the only water i"ve been drinking so I have to say I do contribute it to the "easing" of this fasting.

Paula: Do you know anything about Trinity Water from Idaho? I purchase it from the market, and when I drink it, I feel better.

Joy: Yes, I do know about Trinity. The company bottles its water right at the source, meaning that they do not extract the mineral content in order to bottle it. Because of its high mineral content, Trinity water is marketed not as drinking water but as a supplement.

And this takes us back to our discussion about silica. I spoke with Dr. Roy Johnson, Trinity's scientist and chief engineer, and he told me that one of the significant factors of Trinity water is its high silica content.

The place where the Trinity waters come up from deep in the earth is surrounded by giant quartz crystals, and of course quartz is pure silica. Also, these crystals are certainly generating energy — not just into the waters bubbling up from the spring but throughout the whole bottling process.

Paula: What is so different about Trinity water? It always looks clear.

Joy: Although its mineral content is high, Trinity doesn't have the mineral content that Manitou waters have, or the Manitou waters' exceptional blend and proportional balance of these minerals.

Rainbow, OUI mon amie! :) conversationl level. Alrighty, going thru some intense pains EH? Hangin there and rest and be good to yourself ---your doing some deeped level healing :) HOORAY!!!! drinking water too?

Path, what is sassafrass sun tea?

The complete water fast has ended for me as I am know slowlyyyyyyyy adding juices again. It has been lemon so far and tomorrow I will add apples!!!! I miss my FUJIS :)

My most prized healing has been the ability to sustain a lite joggin movement--today I was zapped with a gust of speed--it felt like I had wheels on and a course of wind pulled me. It was entirely incredible!

Tonite my body is a little weak but less than the last week or so. I feel a very deep level of changes going on.......hormonal cleanse is happening and is slow but apparent.

Hi Linda,

I am feeling better today.. at least my running nose has become dry now. The good thing is that I feel no weak so I can continue till I pass the detox cycle to reach high..

I am thinking that in the future we might have more to share... I saw your photo and guess you have Asia origin. I respect TCM and also believe the raw power for I do feel the difference. I will set for raw vegan afterwards.

You are amazingly strong! You water fasting must do the great on you!

I printed that article and read every evening to encourage myself..

Take good care,
with blessing

Rawispeace,

Are you straining your juice. The key in fasting is to shut down the digestive system so it can concentrate on healing. Yes, you would be set back if your juice contained the pulp still.

:)

Path,

Thank You--the tea name sound interesting and I will check it out.

Thank you but I still have alot to learn about fastingn :)

Hey all..

I've been thinking about going on a 10-day water fast and I was just reading this thread for some insight. I was wondering, though, how active can you be while on a water fast?? The reason I ask is because my job involves a lot of outdoor activity. I am an environmental educator, so during a typical work day I may take the kids hiking, play games with them, or belay them on the climbing wall, all while teaching them basic environmental concepts, etc. Do you think that I will be able to handle this while on a water fast? I know each person is different. . . but generally speaking. . .can a person remain pretty active while fasting?

Any input is much appreciated.. thanks! :)

ONly my personal opinion. I would say no,especially ona water fast. As concentrated and potent as a water fast is, the body needs to all it's energy as much less that it has to do the clenasing, detoxifying and repairing.

if your work involves being active, I would suggest a juice fast-at least you have vitamins minerals and other nutrients to sustain you--the clenasing is slower but many have ahd reuslts on juice fasting alone.

btw, WElcome and best wishes to you!!! :)
