This is the story of my last SAD meal...It was an amicable parting.
As you may know I have struggle with trying to stay raw since July. In my frustration, I have had some very nasty thoughts about the whole realm of SAD food (the misery it causes to others and not just me).
However, after working my way up to it, I have decided to do an extended water fast and rid myself of some deep toxins, and not add them back after the fast. Sooo....
My boyfriend asked me to lunch and I said yes. I didn't feel too bad about it because I am undertaking the fast Friday, and I felt it would be nice to have closure, since I don't plan to have SAD again after the fast.
So we are sitting in a Chinese restaurant and I am reflecting on the role SAD has had in my life and the new exciting life of raw. I KNOW then that it is what I want and need to do. (On a side note, I wore a pair of shoes today that I saw in my closet this morning and thought I would never wear again. Since they had served me so well, I thought I would take them out just once more before I retired them---so I am putting the shoes and the cooked food to rest.)
Anyway...
The perfect ending to my imperfect meal came in the form a fortune cookie.
"You are going to have a very comfortable old age."
What a Fairy Tale ending.
