Today is my first day going 100% raw and I am excited about it ! I am feeling full and rejuvinated already. So far having no hunger cravings at all.
The way that I learned about raw was from a co worker of mine. She was telling me all that she knew about eating raw , raw food and enzymes, and eating 50-80% raw. She would share with me her sprouting experiences and her raw food class experiences and that is how I came to want to learn more about RAW and try it out for myself. I am super excited to change my lifestyle toa raw lifestyle so that I too can have more energy and live a living food lifestyle !
I look forward to chatting with everyone else on this site in the future !

Welcome aimpear -
I'm new too. I'll be starting 100% raw on Monday. So far I've been eating fruit for breakfast, big salad for lunch and trying to finish up SAD food in my fridge at night.
I've started to have more energy and I've already lost 3 pounds. I can't wait to see what 100% raw results will be.
Good Luck on your Journey and let me know how you're doing.

Hi Dancer,
So far I am doing well , but not feeling so hot, so I am assuming that this is the Detox part. I have been eating all my fruits and veggies and I am kind of tired . I didnt get great sleep last night, I kept waking up which is unusual for me so perhaps already I do not need as much sleep as I think I do . This whole process is very interesting and I look forward to seeing how my body reacts and how it changes as well ! Congratulations to you on starting RAW. I do think this will have a major impact on our lives like it has for so many others :)
Thanks for the reply, aimee

Best Wishes to you both! I know if you stay positive and focused you can and will succeed. I have been raw for two periods of a few months each, but each time have slipped back to the SAD diet or a low raw diet (pretty much SAD) and have come back and am going forward with raw. It is truly the only way to go. My first night of my first raw day I had a massive headache, fatigue and just general "blah"ness, but my energy perked up the next day (yesterday) for periods and today I feel GOOD this morning. I was driving my son crazy this morning by singing while fixing my dh's lunch and their breakfast... hee hee hee. I am glad though!
I will send positive thoughts your way that you will see the benefits of this wise way of eating.

We have been raw for three days now and we are actually doing a juice fast for the next 3 days. We feel like it will be easier to do the juice fast, shrink our stomachs, and then go back to incorporating smaller amounts of raw into our bodies again. I feel really good, the past three days have been hard just because we have been so tired and there has been a big lack of energy but since starting the juice fast this morning we have both felt a lot lighter and have had more energy! So it is working !!!
how are you doing so far ?

Aimpear,
That's wonderful that you are doing so well with eating raw!
Do you have a journal in the Raw Challenge Journal Gallery? (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/photopost/showmembers.php)
If not, you might want to create a journal area and a comments area (for receiving support and encouragement from other members and responding to their comments).
Here is a link that gives detailed instructions on how to set that up:

Hi Airpear,
We're doing great here. We're on Day 4 of 100% RAW. We tried to start making all the recipes in Alissa's book for week one and found that we're liking the whole foods better.
We have some mung and garbanzo beens sprouting right now so we'll see what we can do with those. And we're off to the store today for more salad stuff. We ran out very quickly.
How goes the battle with you? Have you started a journal yet? It really helps.
Take care,
Dancer
