Ok folks! I'm back here and ready to go.
After a month away from the boards and a month away from raw, I am NEEDING some support to bring me back.
I had 3 weeks of bedrest, then had a miscarriage at 14 weeks, had an emergency d & C, blood transfusion and barely survived it, but I did. I need to regain my physical strength back and SAD is not cutting it!
How do I begin again? I cannot do this alone. I try and I fail. I need the support of this board and all you wonderful people!
I made great progress doing all raw and need to get back there ASAP.
Tips? Anyone have tips to bring me back to the raw place I was at before all these events took place?
I feel like I'm a new comer and need the support to get me going on this way of eating again!
Thanks to anyone willling to tackle this and anyone that has any ideas is appreciated!
Pam

Did you do the 30 day challange the last time you started raw. It may be a good way to start. If you had a journel here and we could all monitor what you are doing then you would have to behave yourself.

If 30 days seems to long -- take a one day challenge! That's what I had to do to get back in the swing of things. I'm now on day 3!!!
;) And remember to make yourself things to snack on!! This was a must for me. Also make sure you have lots of fruit and veggies on hand. And nuts, though that is my pitfall.
But mostly -- ask for divine guidance each and every morning.
Blessings!!!! Brenda

Ditto! Start small and work your way back in gradually. In fact, I'm going to do the same thing. I was gone during most of the holidays, and I am back, but faltering. I am trying to do the 30-day challenge again, but just today, I crashed and I feel like 30 days is wasted already.
So, let's start small - let's do a one-week challenge starting tomorrow. Full steam and all raw ahead! Are you with me?!

Anna,
Yes, I'm in for one week! That sounds good to me. I need so badly to get back on raw and eating right! I feel like I've been away cheating on myself. Not all things under my control, but my eating the entire time was under my control. I'm going to take it back!
PM or email me if you want Anna and I'll keep you accountable if you keep me accountable! I need this! Let's get this raw show on the road!

Hi Pam!
(((BIG HUGS))) to you! I'm glad you're making your way back and one of the suggestions I have is to remember all the things you love that are raw, even just the simple things like your favorite fruits/veggies and keep lots of that on hand.
The best thing is to be prepared...make the crackers and have 'em on hand or whatever your main staples are.
You will get back to where you want to be, just take it one day at a time!
Blessings to you!

Sport, yes I have a journal and that is one of the things that I love about this board. All the journaling and pictures that help keep me motivated!
Rawk, thank you so much for your suggestions. I so badly need to get back on raw and will be going to get a few items today to help me stay raw!
Someone is bringing over Thai food tonight for dinner and I want to say NO. I am so afraid to have that food brought in the house because I am afraid I won't have the will power to say no.
Yes, simple and easy is how I am going to start. I think doing alot of the dishes right now will be a little overwhelming and I don't need to feel overwhelmed with my food choices.
I am very excited about this and am so ready to begin again! I feel the excitement ready to jump out of me!
Thanks you guys for the suggestions and support!

Welcome back. I read your thread on you experience with you pregnancy. I wanted to say after reading it I felt sad for you and said a prayer for you a few times in the last few days.
You can transition back and we are all here to help.
Oh btw way I have been on the board awhile so I have followed your posts journal from time to time. I changed my user name as I did not like using my "known" handle by friends who could google me.

Lez,
Thanks so much for your encouragement. I cannot believe I am up this early reading the raw board! I must be really gearing myself up for the long haul! :)
Hey, what was your other user name? You can PM me if you want to.
Thank you so much for saying a prayer for me. I really do need it that's for sure!
I am convinced that transitioning my way back into raw is only going to help me physically and emotionally get back to where I need and want to be.
Thanks so much!

Hi Pam,
I'm so sorry to hear about what you went through, you are definitely in my prayers.
I am also trying to transition back into the raw lifestyle. I did 30 days of 100% raw back in September, but then quickly fell back into my old bad cooked food habits and I've been struggling to get back ever since. I am recommitting starting today and I really like Anna's idea of a one-week challenge. That seems so much more doable! So I'll be rawing alongside you guys! Good luck on your journey back to health, we're all in it together!
In health,

Pam, great to hear from you. You are in my prayers DAILY! Hang in there. Like the others have said, take one day at a time. I think that is what has worked for me. I have a one year goal, but I know, as a food addict, I HAVE TO take one day at a time!! Make sure to "treat" yourself with plenty of your RAW favorites in the beginning. Make something that you know you will be excited about! (if you were raw before, just think back!) Also, with everything you've been through, I would recommend to keep plenty of fresh foods on hand, with a large variety, and really listen to your body....you may crave a totally new food, as your body recouperates from all that has happened. Remember to celebrate each day, no matter how hard. Your in my prayers, God Bless.

After three months of trying to get back on the wagon, it was a ONE day challenge that worked for me. :)

I always find looking at previous posts with picture attachements of food very inspirational. I too am in the the same boat trying to get back on track. I had a back injury and was laid up with dear husband doing all the cooking - bless.
Two new members recently contacted me about food pictures among other things and I sent them an online photo album of raw food shots I had put together. If you (or anyone else) would like me to send it to you just send me an email.
All the best,
EPPP :p
