View Full Version : best online source for excalibur?
so many sites, what's a girl to do? :p
I'm looking for recommendations-the last time I ordered from juiceandbeyond.com and upgraded to 2-3 day shipping. 1/2 my order came on time, the other 1/2 was a week late and they refused to refund the extra shipping I paid because I had already been fortunate enough to get a good deal from them.

There's always eBay yet unless you purchase from an authorized distributor or affiliate I believe they will not honor the warranty. (you can email the Verkades at the Excalibur website for info on that). Alissa is an authorized distributor and she has good prices.

You are lucky in the US as things are a lot cheaper than here in England.
I have today ordered a L'Equip 528 dehydrator from a UK outlet who is the approved UK supplier. It cost £119 (not sure what that is in US dollars). That's for 6 trays giving 12 feet of dehydrating space. The Excalibur 5 tray, which gives 8 feet of space (I think), retails here for about £199 - so quite a difference.Downside of the L'Equip is the hole in the middle so it looks like you don't slide trays in. It got good reviews and as I'm a fairly new raw fooder, I'm sure it will be adequate for my needs.
Can't wait for it to arrive as I want to try crackers and the pesto mushrooms, as well as a load more stuff in Alissa's book.

I never realized that Alissa sells so much stuff. I guess I just ordered her book and DVD and didn't shop around! Thanks for the tip-her dehyrators are the lowest prices I have seen. I just ordered the 9 tray. YIPPEE!!!
