:o
I tryed making the bread and put the flax seeds in my vita-mixer and they turned to power and I added raisins and walnut oil. I mashed it together and put it in my dehydrater and was so happy it tasted real good, my husband said it was too gummy for him but not for me. Anyway about a hour later my stomach started rumbling and I had the worst case of gas(ever), could it have been all the flax seeds I put in there or the combination with the raisins?
It wasn't easy being in the same room with me last night. :o :o :o.
The benefil was that it paid off when I took a trip to the rest room but I don't feel good about leaving home right now because I just ate the rest of the bread.
Could flax seeds cause this reaction?
Thanks and sorry to ruin your dinner.

Ann :)

I've heard that flax seeds are very cleansing. My girlfriend has the same experience any time I make anything with flax seeds in it. Usually just crackers/chips for salsa or to make 'fried' onion rings. I havn't tried flax seeds in bread yet.

I am so glad to know that flax seeds help with constipation but I won't use so many next time.

I can have serious gas problems but use a lot of flax seeds and they do not cause my problem. It must have been the combination or maybe it was what ever you had eaten before than. If your previous meal had not gotton through yet and the heavy bread came down on top of it then it may have fermented and caused the gas. i think that is what happens to me.
