I'm very new... not 100%.... probably around 50%, but for someone who barely had anything living in her diet, it's a BIG improvement. And I want to take it further and further, and eat a larger and larger % each day.

I am coming at this from a completely SAD diet... including animal products and refined sugary products. Since the beginning of the year I have really done a 360 on my diet... doing very well.

So far I have noticed that:

I'm slimming down (I'm sure that's partly due to incorporating an exercise routine)...

My nails seem smoother and they now have a bit of a shine to them. They are also stronger.

That's about it for now... only been a short while... and like I said I'm only about 50%.

So now I'd like to know what changes you have all noticed, and a basic time frame that they came about it. Also what percentage of RAW food do you eat each day??

Thanks!
Sandra

Hi, WannaBeRaw, and welcome!

How great that you've noticed such changes at only 50%!! That's wonderful; good motivation to keep it up, right? :)

Well, ever since I cleaned up my diet, I have experienced a lot of changes. Some might not find them too drastic, but I wasn't very ill nor overweight when I started. I also have pretty good genes (~thanks grandma and grandpa!~).

I have improving hair, skin.
Improved muscle formation. Thin layer of fat which covered my muscles sort of melted away.
I am satiated and not manic about meals. I don't spiral out of control (unless I am unbalanced in meeting my nutritional needs, then I feel it).
I have experienced a great balance in my moods, which is wonderful. I am calmer.
Lots of energy and I sleep well.
My vision has improved (though, again I wasn't suffering any really terrible illnesses)
My teeth! My teeth are very healthy now and still improving. This has been one of the best improvements and my favorite: teeth/gum pain is one of the worst things in the world to feel.
I don't feel tempted by or want unhealthy or junk foods -- just don't want them; I want the good stuff. The more good stuff you eat, the more you want it.

It takes time to figure out what "balance" is optimal for you.
Keep it up; you're doing great! Plus it sounds like you are really in tune with your body and its messages to you; this can only help you. You will do great the more you incorporate healthy food -- don't stop! :)

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Best,

I'm a few weeks into being on average 85% raw and I have noticed that I am more calm yet moving more easily and faster.
My hair is shinier.
After 3 weeks dabbling in this the weight is melting and I've finally got the energy to exercise more. I really know it's the eating healthier alive food.

Also more spiritual connection and seeing other people differently...and I think they are looking at me differenty too.I've got a good ZING going on.

Soon I want to do the 100% challenge.

Thanks for all the replies...

Jaurequi... I'm calling it 50% RAW... b/c I eat fuit until noon, then a salad for lunch (may have it with Cottage Cheese and brown beans, or a salmon sandwich), and then veggies all afternoon, then supper with my hubby... which I try to have another salad then as well.

At any rate, the fact that I'm noticing changes so quickly only reaffirmns to me that my body is "ready" for a change for the good. It "wants" to heal. My nails are not only smoother and shinier, but they are thicker as well. I can tell because when I trim them they make a louder "click" than before.

I know in my soul that this way of eating is THE way to eat... I only just need to follow my gut instincts and trust the path before me.

Thanks again everyone!!!
