Hello,

I'm a bit new at all this and would like some advice on how best to transition my daughter.
Some background: My daughter is almost 8. She has been a carb lover since day one. And naturally a great sweet eater. Her staples have been plain spaghetti and cous cous. She does, however, love fruits and some veggies so the transition we've been making in the last three weeks has been going fairly good. I offer alot of healthy fruit/veggie snacks. She does have issues with some texures but has been a trooper about trying new things. It's just that she doesn't like a lot. I realize that some of this is that, like me, she needs to change her taste buds.

I was wondering if any of you have favorite books that may have helped you transition your kids. I would like something in the kitchen as a handy reference.

My biggest worries are getting her enough calcium (she doesn't like leafy greens to well), iron and protein.

I'd be grateful for any ideas and suggestions!

This book is not strictly raw, but I highly recommend "Disease Proof Your Child - Feeding Kids Right" by Joel Furhman. An excellent read.

Beth Montgomery also has two great books on raw and kids. They are my favourite yet.

Cheers,
