I am looking for a whole-food vitamin supplement for my children. My 3 year-old is going through this stage where he won't eat anything but chicken and applesauce. He eats so very little as it is and is pretty thin. I don't want to force him by removing those two items completely. I just wish he would eat a little greater variety. He will eat hummus and raw carrots from time to time, but again, very little and very rarely.

Anyway, I am looking into a supplement for him and have located a couple, but they all seem to have gelatin in them, which I would rather avoid. Does anyone have ideas on this?

Thanks.
Anna

In case you are still looking. I believe that JuicePlus Chewables don't have geletin.

This is where we get ours. My husband and I take the capsules and my son takes the gummies. http://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/pages/Home.soa?site=sy17458

Good luck!

I'm pretty sure Animal Parade vitamins don't have gelatin. I get them at our food co-op so I think WF would have them too.

Dear Maraw

I give my kids aged 9 and 7 Aim Barley Life, just carrots and redibeets. They are all wholefood vege juices. Email me on dlangley@netactive.co.za for more info on how to order wholesale. Can highly recommend them.

? on juice plus. Why is the vitamin A only from beta carotene? They say they are whole-unfragmented foods, but then why don't they have the full spectrum of carotenoids? My kids take them now, but I'm not planning on reordering until I get this particular point resolved. They look good otherwise...

I used to be on JP but there are many interesting articles about how their research is a bit "skewed" and questionable. The veggie kind seemed ok but the fruit really made me feel bad. If you google Juice Plus there's some good sites that come up.
