Macadamia nuts??

Are the macadamia nuts in the glass jars, or cans RAW (like at Walmart, next to the peanuts, cashews, etc)??? They don't say RAW, but they also don't say roasted. I'm having trouble finding macadamia nuts that I KNOW are raw. And neither of the health food stores in my town sell any. HELP!!!

Also, where can I get Nama Shoyu? My health food stores only sell "Shoyu".

This whole raw thing is tougher than it looks when you live in a "small" town! :(

Anything at Wal-Mart is not raw, accept for the fresh produce and then it is sprayed with chemicals to make up for the fact that it is raw. However, the produce is better than no produce at all.

On occassion, Wal-Mart will have spanish peanuts with the skins still on. Now, those are raw, but only those. Even those almonds that look raw are blanched.

You can order really raw macadamia nuts from Glaser Farms in Miami where I get mine. I keep mine vacuum sealed in a mason jars to extend shelf life naturally. So far it appears to be working. I just used 2 large handfuls of crushed macadamias in my "Pineapple-Cucumber Chutney". I made my chutney just a little too spicy, too many habaneros.
