I started getting the same symptoms my mom has/had with fibromyalgia and I thought going raw would reverse them (restless leg syndrom, renaouds syndrom, and the "pins and needles"). Lately I've been having more symptoms and it's kind of worrying and bothersome. Dose my body just need to finish detoxing or what? just wanting to see if i was alone in this.

I didn't know that Raynauds was a symptom of Fibromyalgia. I have had that for years, I do remember hearing that raw would help. I haven't been raw (or 100%) enough to see a big difference. I think with time raw will help as it cleans out the "gunk" in our bodies, circulation will flow much better. I do know that the times when I am 100% my arthritis gets much better and my usual muscle tightness is gone, so I am thinking it will help with the fibro also. FYI, alpha lipoic acid is highly recommended for Raynauds and a B complex is also good for restless leg/pins and needles. And definitely lots of water to flush out the toxins.

I am 29 years old & noticed that the older I got, the more fibro symptoms I was getting. My mother had it & we beleive her mother had it.

Anyways, I've done the experiment to know for a FACT... raw is the way to go. To me, raw is the way to go for everything, but as far Fibro goes, it's the only way for relief in my opinion. When there are days I stray... the big fibro is right there to remind me I HAVE to eat right. It's always waiting in the shadows.

Now, if I could just figure out why I'm so sensetive to everything, as what kind of food allergy it could be? I would say wheat, but flour altogether causes issues with me. Along with starch & eggs.

Some ppl are raw vegan by choice, but for us, I'm afraid we dont have one.

I came out of lurkdom JUST to reply to this thread you started. You hit so close to home!!

cafejane, welcome, and dreamrawalz here's the link for you. It is about a study which seems to show that a raw vegan diet alleviated FM symptoms. hope this helps.
