View Full Version : I'm ready to try this raw food diet...

Hi everyone. My name is Laurel, I live in North Dakota (I'm here for college at UND). I at the moment am working towards demolishing animal abuse worldwide. I love my kitty Icarus, she supports me fully in this new diet. I'm ready and willing to learn about raw foods. I don't know much about it, but I hope that through this site I will be able to start this new way of life for myself, and hopefully maintain it as well. I've been a vegetarian for about six months, and still going strong. I don't miss the foods I'v "given up" as many like to put it. I like to think of it as not what I've stopped eating; I think of all the new foods I'm trying and enjoying rather. Oh, also I would very much appriciate any tips anyone may have for me. I guess that's all I can think of for now.

"only" doing it for health purposes? That's EXACTLY why I'm doing it AND it's well worth it!

Welcome to the group and to the lifestyle. I agree with Revvell on this.I think we are all here for health purposes. Some are here because they have a health problem already, and some, like myself, are here to ensure that they remain as healthy as they are now. This make your poll a little difficult because I should answer yes to both.

For me the answer is obvious, (worth it), but since it's election day in Canada and all, I'd try my hand at voting. Do I get to be Prime minister now? ;)

Would you want to be. I can not imagine why. You would have to go to a lot of places and eat a lot of things that you do not want to eat.
I recall that when Hillery Clinton went to Mongolia she felt obliged to drink fermentd mare's milk and I went Yuck. I now realise that it was probably very good for her but that did not make it nice.
