This glorious sandwich was from Remedy, a raw restaurant and juice bar in Toronto, Ontario. For $6.00 you received this lovely sandwich and a side salad with lots of sprouts!
I should have asked for the recipe but this bread (which I know has carrot pulp in it) was spectacular!
Just thought I'd share:>

WOW! That lookks great. I went to Ecopolitan, a raw vegan restaraunt here in Minneapolisa few times and I have had an EcoBurger, some raw soup of some kind, and today I had Strawberry Marinara & Noodles and took home some raw crackers. The Strawberry Marinara & Noodles was incredible and huge!!! I am very lucky to be able to go there. My raw vegan doctor who owns it is going to be opening an Eco Living Spa Resort in Wisconsin soon. I am lucky to have the resources that I have here.

I have just emailed Remedy and asked for their recipe. I mentioned your rave reviews so we can just cross our fingers!

Actually, Alissa's pizza bread would work just fine.

I agree!
Alissa's pizza bread looks similar to the texture of this bread and tastes scrumptious. I used it rampantly when first raw -- fulfilling my sandwich cravings. It's not hard and crispy, but rather pliant and moist.
No need to ask their nonpublishing chef for recipes -- we've got our own right in our books!
p.s. for any newbies reading this (and there sure are a lot on the site now!! amazing! welcome, btw), the fabulous onion bread right here from this forum is also wonderful as sandwich "bread."
Hello---It looks great...and yummy!! Glad to see your post..miss talking to you!

that looks great - thanks for sharing.
Secret Heart do you know what the status is with what raw restaurants there are currently in Toronto? I know about Live :) , I was wondering what happened to RaRaRaw, if it's still open somewhere. Also where is Remedy, is that the one on Spadina? Any others?
Any info appreciated on raw restaurants in Toronto, as I go there on occasion.

Hi Exurb,
RaRaRaw is now defunct. I never went there. There's Remedy cafe, which is where the photo of the sandwhich was taken. It's fantastic. They offer courses on sprouting and have their little cafe there. http://www.supersprouts.com/indexframe.html
Do you know about Live? It's by far the best raw restaurant in Toronto.
http://www.veg.ca/directory/raw.html You MUST go there...I saw raw carrot cake with a cashew icing there the other night but i didn't have room for it from the yummy sandwich at the other place from earlier in the day!!!
Other than Live I think that's it in terms of raw restaurants.
Where do you live Exurb?
Heather
