Hi everybody. I am intending to start a 75% raw woe TOMORROW, mainly inspired by Leslie Kenton's 'the powerhouse diet', although she advocates eating meat, which I don't do. I am looking forward to gaining the benefit of everybody's experience, and although I know many people on this site are aiming for 100% raw vegan, I hope this doesn't mean I am not welcome - but please tell me if that's the case!
Wish me luck for my first day - I honestly can't wait!

Hi and welcome. There is nothing wrong with aiming for 75%. When I started I wrote down my targets for 6 months and had it mailed to me after the 6 months. My target had been 100% at breakfast, 75% at lunch and 50% at dinner. I was 100% after 2 weeks. I have read some Leslie Kenton but not that book.
Hope that it goes well for you.

Thank you very much for your welcoming e-mails - I was a bit worried I'd be chucked off before I started! Sport - it's interesting that you became more raw than you were even aiming for within a short space of time. I would definitely be open to becoming more raw if that was the right thing for my body, but I just want to listen to the way I feel for a change. If I tried to be 100% straight away I think I would be imposing a rigid ideology onto myself. I have a history of compulsively eating vast quantities of rubbish to try to allieviate stress, which of course doesn't work!
Today is going great so far, although I think I've eaten too many nuts. I had a small quantity of oats this morning, which I have discovered through this forum are not usually raw, so I'll have to investigate that!
Right then, I am off to peruse some journals!
