For those who are new to dehydrating, or those frustrated with the process of rolling out cracker and bread dough, here is a tip:

Lightly oil 2 pieces of teflex. Pat out a quantity of dough in the middle of the first sheet about to a large square, about 5x5, or so. Then place the second sheet on top and LIGHTLY roll side to side and top to bottom with a rolling pin to desired thickness. The top sheet will peel right off, and you can then cut in squares or whatever shape is needed.

Great tip! Another tip for pie crusts for those who don't already do this:

Place mixture in pie pan and use plastic wrap to spread mixture evenly through pan. Then throw plastic wrap away or spread over pan and put in freezer to set!

I have been using the LEquip untill recently and did not have teflex sheets. I now have them but do not know which is the right side up. Is it the side with the writing or the other side.
I am not as happy with the crackers out of the excaliber. I can not seem to get them crispy.

i use both sides of the tefles, which have no writing. I don't think the Excalibur is the problem, as I get crispy crackers, depending on the ingredients.

My crackers are also very crispy using an Excalibur. Have you checked the accuracy of the temperature?
