I was wondering if anyone here has an oven that has a built-in dehydrator feature. We are renovating, and I was looking at some - I saw a JennAir that has a built in dehydrator feature. You can get the critical temperatures we need for raw food. The oven has convection built in, I take it it takes advantage of the moving air of that feature and combines it with low temperatures.
Does anyone have any experience with them? I would likely still use my dehydrator instead, but wondered if I should also get an oven with the feature built in.

I wouldn't do it. It will make it too easy for you to turn back to cooked food. You could renovate and make the cut out the perfect size for your dehydrator instead of a traditional stove.

interesting, but a waste of money if you already have a dehydrator

I think it is a terific idea and I did not know that it was available. If you have info on manufacturers let me know because I will install one in my new place. I would never design a place just for my needs as I like to change my house every few years so have to keep an eye to the resale market. I am going to have to install a cooker so I may as well have one that I can make use of.

I'm working on plans for a home to build. Although many items in the home would be built for my particular needs, I would alwaysallow the space and wiring to accomodate a buyer's preference if we should want to sell. if a space was created for an 'eventual' stove and oven, I would not install it until the house was ready for the new buyer.
