Okay so the last two weeks have been 80-90% raw. I thought for sure I would never be able to eat a whole day without something cooked. Well
I will be darnedddddddddddddddddddddddd. This week I decided I would just go for it! I have been raw 3 days now. The thought of meat and cooked food does nothing for me...it is a real turn off, especially since learning the truth about it.
It really is a mindset- I told myself I could never do it. Well this past weekend I was giving my brother some advice on his workout plan. I also told him that when that little voice comes in his head - the one that says you can't or tries to get you to eat that pie, I want you to say out load - GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY. Well, Sunday night came, after hearing myself lecture I made the decision that Monday I would give it a try for at least 1-day! Well, I have done it for 3 and I'm loving it! NOT EVEN HUNGRY EITHER!
I guess my thought is for those of you who were like me and thought you couldn't do it _ YOU CAN!!! Keep in mind I was never a Vegetarian so this has been so amazing for me. I always thought MEAT was a good source of energy. I hope this helps anyone who has doubt. I'm confident that this is the lifestyle for me! Oh I forgot to add, I have just been keepig it simple.I don't have a dehydrator but do have a juicer (Omega- 8005 I LOVE) and a blender and food processor. I just eat basic stuff and it has been such a relief for me. It really is like living in nature! As time goes on I will get a dehydrator ( maybe the end of the month) for preparing some of those recipes.
Good Luck and I will keep you posted on this leg of my journey!
P.S. I made my first raw "dish"
1/2 cup date paste ( I made it)
3/4 cup raw almond
3/4 Cup raw carob
2 tsp honey (optional)
Mix then roll into balls
I also added some raw walnuts (chopped)
coconut
Some I rolled in carob powder
Some I rolled in raw sunflower seeds
They are so good - Hubby was shocked...keept asking if everything was RAW- I proudly said yes!!
xoxo- Seeta :p
