Today I bought a B&D foodsaver, and although I did not buy the canisters, I was wondering if I could still use it on soft stuff by putting it in the freezer first just long enough to set up a bit, then use the foodsaver on it? I made the mock salmon pate, pizza bread, and corn chips. Are any of these ok to freeze, or should I stick to just refridgerating them? I don't want to ruin a whole batch of these!
Also, our walmart has marked down their walnuts to $2.75 for 12oz! I was so excited I bought A BUNCH! I wondered whether to freeze them the way they are (on styrofoam with plastic wrap) or could I use the foodsaver on these also? Expiration date on these walnuts is 5/06, and I probably bought enough to last me that long :D
