I tried it - Jingee's site was the first raw site I really enjoyed. I was usually able to go about 2 days on the OJ fast before I was absolutley stir crazy. It's difficult to maintain because within about an hour of making your OJ if you don't drink it it starts to turn bitter. So if you someone like me, who had to be at school or work, then it was very hard to maintain. This is my personal experiance though - just for input. :D The juice does taste FANTASTIC when it's fresh!

I'm doing this right now! :D I am on day four. Let me tell you how tired my hands are from using the little hand citrus juicer!! But, I ordered an electric juicer that should arrive any day now. Oh, I tried to peel an orange then juice it with my Juiceman Jr. just to see how it would turn out...it was all frothy and weird. It tasted good, but not as good as hand squeezed !
I've been drinking the orange juice mixed with grapefruit and tangerine also, just to have something a little different. It's reallly yummy!
I've been having the weirdest days, though, since I started the fast. The first day I couldn't sleep at all! and I had such a horrible headache. Since then I've been staying up so late because I have weird bouts of energy. I'll be full of energy one minute, then exhausted the next. Then full of energy etc.
Oh, another funny thing, at the beginning of the fast I was craving every kind of food under the sun! Which is especially weird because I'm vegan! I was craving all sorts of SAD fast foods! Then yesterday I was craving raw foods all day!
But, yes, fresh OJ all day is soo yummy! Mmmm! I am going to make some now :D

I've not done the full fast, but if the juice is a little too sweet for you, I like SmellyDelly's suggestion of adding another type of juice to it...maybe try a little lemon juice or even cut it with a little bit of water.
Just be sure to rinse your mouth with water after drinking so the citrus doesn't sit on your teeth all day!

I tried that about a year ago (also from Storm and Jinjee's e-books). I did it for ten days (I didn't make the whole 14). I felt good, but the juice got way too sweet for me that I didn't enjoy as much after awhile (didn't think of adding other citrus juices- that sounds like a good idea). But then again, I don't really like sweet stuff. Anyway, I stopped early because I started getting acid reflux (which I had never had before). I think it may have been for other reasons than just that it was oj (which is what I'm sure a regular doctor would tell me). I think it may have been due to possible chemicals in or near the oranges (although they were supposed to be organic, they were not bought at a store that exclusively sells organic produce). Or because sometimes I waited too long to drink it and maybe acid built up in my stomach (just a theory-- sometimes I waited until after 5 if I didn't have time to make it before work).

Wow! I just got my Citristar! Let me tell you what, this is a must have! It's sooo nice! No more cramped hands!! :D :D
And it gets more juice than hand juicers because it swirls the pulp around. It's really fantastic!

ah, yes, electronic juicers are wonderful! i find that plain OJ is just way too strong for me, especially with the extra pulp from a juicer, so i dillute it with water. it makes a huge difference.

Is there a website where I can order the citristar? Someone recommended it a while back but I don't know the website or department store where I can buy it.

For those who would like to do the oj program, I heard Jinjee say that one can bring organges to work and eat the whole orange.
I also have the Citri-Star.

I tried it. It worked well for me, I made it through the two weeks. I didn't really eat oranges for a while after it, though.
I got a black and decker electric juicer at walmart for $9.somethin'

Well like I posted in the other thread, I tried doing the orange juice fast but the detox was to heavy for me, I got the worse head ache the night of the 2end day and even worse the day of the 3rd and my face started to go numb every time I drank the juice  . So I just drank water for the rest of the day and today. I am juicing apple juice and I feel great so far! :)
