Has anyone heard of John H. Tobe? He has a book called No-Cook from the 1960's with 800 and something pages including 365 recipes. Here is a brief piece of writing from him...

NO SACRIFICE

Many people are of the impression when they go on a raw food diet that they are becoming something wonderful or that they are making a great sacrifice for mankind. So I would like to address myself to such people who might be contemplating or who have started a raw food diet.

You are not dieting, you are not starving, you are not being a martyr, and you are not even being noble..but for the first time in your life you are showing good common sense about maintaining your health and you are at long last eating proper natural, wholesome, health-giving food. So don't for a moment feel sorry for yourself. Proper diet can, does and is making sick, feeble and dying people healthy once again. There is no sickness or other organic condition that nature cannot correct if given and unrestricted opportunity, barring birth deformities and conditions caused by accidents.

What do you think?

Sounds good. All goes to show you there is nothing new under the sun. Never heard of that auther but have a old book by Dr. Norman Walker from 1981 " Natural Weight Control" and another book by Jethro Kloss ""Back to Eden" 1974. Which all write about the benefits eating all raw foods in there natural state is man's original diet.
Interesting isn't it?

You're right, nothing is new under the sun.

N.W. Walker actually started writing books in the 1930's or earlier, Arnold Ehret is another good one that started writing in the early 1900s. There were raw food societies in the 1800s and individuals that have been recorded back in the 1600s. Then there was that whole garden of Eden thing too.

I just hadn't heard of this particular author in the raw food area before.
