I'm going to try this again, starting with Tanja Monday morning. Not sure how many days but as long as I can. I would love to do 10 days. Not only do I need to lose weight and get healthy, I want to break the power that cooked food has on me -- for good!

Great! :D I don't know how many days I'm going for either... I'm hoping for 10 days just like you though...

hey you two (!!!!!)

I'll join you in the juice monday morning 'cause I need to jump start my body and get clean.

What do you guys typically juice in the morning?

Linda

:)

ok guys, I'm ready! I went and bought some beets, lemons, apples, oranges, pears and bok choy. (I'm not sure I'll like the bok choy. ;)) I think I can find some local collards for greens. I already had plenty of carrots so that will be my main "squeeze". Linda, I think I will start the morning with a warm lemon water... I discovered our oven stays 90 degrees with the light on so I'll keep my water in there overnight. Then later some orange & pineapple.

From what I've read, the first 3 days are the toughest? And if you make it through that, you really don't want to eat??? With that in mind, hopefully I can make myself go the first three days. I really want to go 10 days and longer after the holidays.

I'm excited!!

:)

oh btw, I'm not juicing organic. It's impossible to find around here and I probably couldn't afford it if I could find it.

A funny thing happened today at the checkout line. The lady asked me what was the bok choy and how did I cook it. I told her I just ate it raw. She looked at me like I was from mars and said, "Raw??" Her expression took me off guard... like she couldn't imagine such a thing in her wildest dreams. My hubby and I could barely wait until we got outside to laugh.

*~*~*Greetings Peaches*~*~*

Yipee, I will start my juicing tomorrow as well. I will be juicing celery, apple, beet, cucumber, spinach and oranges.

That is cute what happened at the grocery store--I guess eating foods in their natural form is really a foreign concept.

Alright, I'm psyched....... ;-)

luv,
Linda

Peaches, Tanja and Linda,

I wish you all the best of luck with your juicefast! Enjoy it!! The juices you can make are so versatile and all so yummy, remember to drink enough though, and don't forget to drink water too!! Oranges and other citrus fruits are best to drink before noon (give you a good cleanse) afterwards any juice will do, experimenting is the key here!
Whenever feeling hungry, dizzy, ... DRINK!
I did it for 10 days and to be honest, it's so easy!! It was already easy from the first day, I didn't have that 'if I can make it three days I'll be okay', but everybody's different of course :)
It's important to support eachother, and fun to share recipes (my personal favorites are plain grapejuice (with seeds) and pear/pineapple mix)

You might feel bloated and have trouble eliminating, but that's because you don't get a lot of fibres to get enough BM's, the bloating, Todd explained me, are just old junk in your intestines that are coming loose and will get eliminated, but it might take some time.
I did lose some weight, but it wasn't that spectacular, others lost more, again, different from person to person...

You gals can do this, yeah!!! :D

Luv right back attcha!

(((((JAY)))))

I'm laughing cause I forgot about the other citrus fruits that existed. I kept thinking to myself, "What else is there besides oranges an lemons?" Oh and I forgot the water thing too!

Okay this may be more challenging than I thought........ ;-)

Linda

I'll be following your progress guys. I did 7 days recently and was very surprised and amazed that I could do it. It was my first time.
Next time I hope to do better coming off the fast and eating whole foods again.

What do you suggest as far as juicing? Todd indicated that it's best to juice citrus in the morning.

How would you come off the juicing going into soild foods the next time around? What kinds of physical/emotional/mental experiences did you experience? Weightloss?

luv,
linda
