has anyone ever tried digesting this? i've read that some people use it for colon cleansing. i found that you can purchase it online, in a powdered form-how does one eat it? mix it in with a smoothie, maybe?
if anyone's ever tried this, i'd love to know what you think about it!

Personally, I wouldn't do clay by itself ~ meaning alone, in a smoothie. From what I've read, it's best mixed w/ psyllium for getting it out of the system.

I sell clay for masks. It's rather ummmm, clayey. It absorbs fluid then becomes pasty. It's not easy to wash off. I'd like to suggest you do some google searching on the pros and cons of using clay for colon cleansing. I'm sure others who've used it will jump in on this thread as well.

I have ingested once (Great Plains brand) but that was more than 15 years ago. I don't recall reaction other than it tasted like pasty and almost lethal--you can tell it's not food!

Fast forward.............

I have also used Uncle Harry's gray clay powder form into enemas with lemon juice. I found it worked better with the lemon than alone. I've read that is is a by product of volcanic ashes of some sort....so, i have not used it since. However, I don't mind using it for a clay mask.

I really need to do more research before I conder ingesting it again but for some reason, my body is not attracted to it.

Hi, I don't know if you got an answer on the clay, and I misse dit but in Italy we drink clay starting at puberty to help clear up the acne etc.. The way I was taught to do it, and everyone I know has done it, is basically put a spoon in a tall glass of room temp. water upon rising. Stir it up then allow the clay to settle to the bottom. You drink the water and not the stuff on the bottom, as this can cause if you are prome, kidney stones, or other urinary tract issues. I hope this helped although its kind of late.
