Does anyone have or know of a good dip for baby carrots? I used to use ranch dressing but there is no raw version for that.

I like the tahini dressing:

(from "Eating without Heating" by the Boutenko kids)
1 c water
1/4 c olive oil
1/4 c lemon juice
1 Tablespoons raw tahini
4 cloves garlic (I never use that much, maybe one or two but if you like a lot of it...by all means)
1 tsp. salt

Blend well in blender (to make more liquidy, add more water).

Here are a couple of ranch dressing recipes from books I have here:

Ranch Dressing by Jacki Graff:

2 lemons, juiced
1 c. mac nuts, soaked for 8 hours and drained
3 cloves garlic
1/4 sweet onion
4 stalks celery
2 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. fresh ground pepper
1 TBS. fresh dill
1 tsp. fresh thyme
1 c. rejuvelac or filtered water
1 medjool date, pitted
1/2 c. olive oil

Place all ingredients except olive oil in blender and blend well. Slowly add olive oil to blender and blend to creamy consistency.

Creamy Mac Dressing by Karie Clingo
========

1/2 to 1 full c. raw mac nuts
1/3 c. raw apple cider vinegar
2/3 c. olive oil
1 tsp. sea salt
Italian seasoning to taste
1/2 TBS. sage

Blend nuts with 1/4 to 1/2 c of water (depending on thickness desired)
Add vinegar, olive oil, sea salt, Italian seasoning and sage. Blend thoroughly.

Has anyone had any trouble finding macadamia nuts? I tried to get some today and the guy at Wild Oats told me they are almost impossible to get these days. He keeps trying to order them and they're not available. Anyone else having a problem?

Yeah I was and then finally saw some at Trader Joe's (thankfully they weren't rancid this time) but prior to that, no one carried them locally. You can mainly find them online for the most part.

We don't have a Trader Joe's here in middle Tennessee. :( Can you order from them online? I guess I could do a search and find out, huh?! ;) Thanks Rawkinlocs. :)
