Hey Heather,
My best friend is in Dallas and she is a RAW fooder and has been telling me about a Raw Foods restaurant on Greenville avenue that will be about 20 minutes from East Dallas Garland area:) You will enjoy it! I will introduce you by pm- to her She is in her 40's loves to run...Lives near White Rock Lake- Awesome place for a run or a lakeside YOGA class :) She has an 8 year old daughter and she is experiencing a transition right now from married to Single mom- Very grounded girl though and strong faith! You will love it there and btw there are tons of whole foods in Dallas... 3 that come to mind quickly!
Take Care,
Melissa :D

Hi Heather,
I'm in the Dallas metro area up in Plano (north of Garland).
There are many Whole Foods Markets all over Dallas; if you move to Garland
the Richardson location is the closest I believe. The Plano location
is the largest in the area, but the Richardson location the people seem
more laid back.
Here's the link to the raw food restaurant:

Here is also a link to an organic food co-op run by long time
raw fooders (they would know of some local potlucks):

There are numerous yoga studios and vegatarian restaurants spread
out over the area so
I think you will transition well to the Dallas metro ;)
Feel free to PM me anytime with anymore questions.
I will try to look up the name of a vegatarian restaurant in Richardson
and get back to you.

there are a bunch of veggie restaurants, potlucks, groups
and other sources listed at this site...
There are quite a few veggie restaurants in Richardson, which
is the neighboring suburb to Garland.

What a bummer. I am going to finally be in Dallas next weekend and was planning a big trip to pure! and guess what, they already had to close down. I am so bummed out about this. Oh well, guess it wasn't meant to be. Hopefully the next time I'm in Dallas, it will be up and running. The food looks great.

Ya, I got lucky and actually ate at PURE the week before they closed;
food was wonderful.
I hope they reopen really soon; lots of raw curious friends and family
wanting to go try it....

hi Heather,
there are about 5 Whole Food Markets in and around Dallas (I use the one on Greenville Ave at Belmont) - the closest one to Garland is on Coit and Spring Valley Rd. in Richardson (a suburb). Also there is a Farmers Market downtown around Pearl Ave. and Canton Street. off Central Expy. :)
~~~
The Pure Restaurant... oh no! I live a few blocks away from Pure - but have not stopped in - yet. what happened? are they to reopen soon? they were only open for a blink. wah!
