Has anyone made their forehead furrows go away from eating a raw food diet. I'm sicking of spending $500+ for Botox and my furrrows are coming back. I'm hoping since a raw food diet changes the skin, that it will also resolve the furrows. Please any information you can give me will be highly appreciated!!

I do believe that botox is poison and that you should reconsider your approach.
I know that vegans and even vegetarians always look younger than they are. You have no idea how often people have assumed that I am my son's sister and now they assume that I am my grandson's mother when we go to the playground. Of course you will look younger in time but it will not happen overnight. If you continue to poison your system with botex then the change will be slower.
I understand your situation and your concern but am worried about your solution.

Exactly Sport. I just started the raw food diet a week ago so I'm not expecting miracles overnight. I remember reading Shazzie's food journal that in her 15th or 25th day (i forget), her jowles dissappeared! I hoping it would be the same for my furrows.

Has anyone experience significant skin changes, either with wrinkles, pores, furrows, deep lines, acne scars, etc. that you would like to share?? How long did it take for it to resolve with the raw food diet? Please any stories would be appreciated. I need inspiration to continue with this diet.

Looking at my furrows makes me depressed. :(

Please share.

Hi, lowfreq, :)

To be honest, I have always had good skin no matter what my diet: Good skin runs on both sides of the family; so I just inherited it. My great grandmother died at 96 and had skin like porcelain!

I have, on the other hand, been dehydrated many times and for long periods of time in my life -- mostly from heavy exercise (running) and not properly hydrating myself to make up for the loss. This led to lines on my forehead showing as well as the lines on the sides of the mouth -- only time I like those showing is when I smile :D. Anyway, what I can testify to is improved skin, which is wonderful, and those lines are GONE. And as I'm aging, my skin actually improving is fantastic and a wonderful testimony for eating optimally.

Many times people don't realize they are dehydrated and are, in fact, extremely dehydrated. Insufficient water in the body can lead to or contribute to SO many ailments as well; the list is seemingly endless. Being well hydrated is the primary consideration for attaining good skin. Next, I would say consuming a lot of whole fruit; greens; some flax seed (ground; about 1 TB or more per day) will have you on your way :). Also if you choose to consume dehydrated foods make sure to drink even more water; personally, I don't consume dehydrated foods and prefer the natural water (it's magical ;)) contained within fresh, whole fruits and veggies.

If you are an ethical vegan, then you might appreciate knowing that botox is not vegan. Aside from that, it is a poison and not good for you and, as you are experiencing not really a solution or long-term benefit.
As a side note, I have a non-vegan friend, who is a plastic surgeon: she used to do botox, but now refuses to do it, though it is extremely lucrative to do so.

Also, MSM is great; if you feel you want or need a supplement, this is the one I would recommend: I noticed results *very* quickly! It's great stuff.

So, in conclusion :) lots of water, fresh whole fruit and vegetables, flax, and MSM, if you choose.

Best,

By forehead "furrows" do you mean horizontally across or vertically between your eyebrows? If it's vertically, that usually indicates Liver/Gb and Spleen/pancreas inbalances.

I guess I'd best jump in on this one!

I have vertical lines between my eyebrows... how do I find out what to do if I have a liver/gl and spleen/pancreas imbalance?? Or will eating raw take care of this on its own, any dietary suggestions would be most appreciated!

Thank you Revvell!

Cinnamon, You're quite welcome.

What I would do is, continue eating raw and find a good qigong/taiji instructor as they work with cleansing and balancing the meridiens. Of course, you could always do some liver flushes, etc. yet, my feeling is KISS ~ keep it simple sexy.

Yes I have vertical forehead furrows and it's killing me! With Botox, I look 21 years old although I'm 38 right now. I will look into that pancreas problem. Anyone else have suggestions?

Be glad they're just furrows and not canyons!

The longer I'm raw, the shallower my forehead canyons become. :)

I have been reading about furrows in the forehead and remember reading something that Victoria Boutenko said in her book "12 Steps to Raw" and she said it was amazing what the raw food diet could do to the body after time: moles start disappearing, organs regrow and everything starts to change. Jinjee also said that stretch marks and scars will go away also if you keep on the raw diet for a time.

Hopefully this is true!!!!!
Goodluck-

try acupuncture!
find someone who does "facial rejuvenation" acupuncture and the lines will begin to disappear and if you stay raw this will enhance the whole thing
(i am an acupuncturist and have seen this work!)
good luck!

Just a thought lowfreq and I don't mean offense at all! Just love yourself. Love and accept every part of you. Eating better and taking care of yourself better will help you do that. So even before those lines start to disappear you'll love you...and maybe even more when they disappear.

I am 37 (38 in July) and I have some vertical lines, baby, and I am cellulite challanged ;) but when I am feeling so great on the right food I really really feel myself letting go of the negativity about my body and loving myself! I can't help but be happy!

I hope you begin to feel that way AND get rid of the furrows!!
