going raw in illinois

hello. i wanted to just introduce myself. my name is lara and i live in lemont, IL which is a suburb outside chicago. ive been a vegetarian for 7 years and went vegan a few months ago (i had a few slip ups around the holidays) and i'm trying to go raw right now. im having trouble because im new to it and i dont know any other raw foodists in my area. i've gone to a few raw food meetups, but i would love any support i could get. i live in a house of meat eaters who also love sweets and junk, so i'm surrounded by horrible food. if anyone lives in my area and wants to get in touch, my email is buzz134@aol.com

I live in an area without any others that I know of and find that this forum is terific. I do not think I would be still raw without it. Stick around.

I'm not too far from you. If you want info of someone to go to for help I'll be glad to share it with you. She helped me get on the right track. I was going to commit to this better eating thing for 3 months. Then I realized I needed to make it a life style. Alissa has some great stuff. have you ordered any of it?
