I just recieved Alissa's book and DVD's and I was curious, she speaks about getting to the point where cooked residue is completely out of your system but I was just curious how long it takes for cooked residue to get out of your system.

Hi Giaya,

this depends on how long have you been cooked. For those, who decided to transition to raw as adults, it can take even 3 years, before they experience the full benefits. Of course, sooner you go and stay all-raw, the better.

All the best,
Gosia.

Giaya,

It depends upon how much cooked and processed food you've eaten and how long you've eaten it. I don't know the answer exactly. It's different for everyone. There is a similar discussion about detox here: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9182

I was raised vegan and I was taught thouroughly the importance of eating fresh foods but I go through minor moments where I binge on cooked junk foods and then get really sick. I get so depressed and feel like everything is hopeless and then I get back into my Raw ways and feel great, just a little deprived and I dont know how to kick this feeling.

i've read that it takes one month for every year of eating cooked to completely rid the system. don't know if that's accurate or not.
