Is it only peanuts or does this effect other nuts.

This is a toxin that affects most nuts and grains, the ONLY reason you hear about it with peanuts, is that they are more suseptable to it than other nuts and such.

I do not eat raw peanuts, but ONLY because I don't care for the taste.. I do eat all other raw nuts.

I do not eat raw grains, they just don't agree with me.

I also kiss my dog on the lips, so I don't care about viruses, bacteria or any of that stuff. it is in the air we breath, and I personally believe that my imune system is working perfectly BECAUSE, I allow it to work, and don't molly codle it with attempting to be germ free in everything I do.

But that is me, and I know alot of people on this board, wash their cutting boards, and rinse their produce etc.

I think each person should do exactly what "feels" right to them.

To me, I just grab it off the tree or off the ground and pop it in my mouth, bugs and all. (sometimes-- ick) LOL

This subject has been brought up before. I did the search:

Personally, I don't concern myself with it. IF you look long enough and hard enough one can find something to concern oneself with just about anything one injests including fruit and air. Just remember ~ play with your foods and be happy.
