Hi! I have not been feeling very well for the past year or so and remember how wonderful I felt a few years ago when I made a conscious effort to alter what I ingested. Living in DC is a difficult place to do so, and it will be a tremendous challenge so I decided to join a community that will inspire me to stick with it and get healthy.
I am not actually starting until tomorrow morning, but I thought I would begin writing tonite to get a jump on things.

I lived in Maryland and Virginia in 1997/98 and at that time was a cooked vegan, there was a place called "Fresh Fields" in Virginia that was fabulous for fresh produce. I wonder if they are still around?

I'm glad to see someone from the area on this site! I live in Arlington, VA and I am VERY new to the Raw Diet as well (Just started on January 1). I definitely need to find a support group in this area, as no one I know is on the diet and I have many questions.
