Wow; I did so well for so long and then came the holidays. Even though I tried to prepare ahead, took raw and it still was impossible for me not to have old favorites at Christmas Eve party, Christmas Day dinner, my son's request to go to an Indian Resturant while home from school and now New Year's Eve dinner with old friends. In the past 2 weeks I have gained 3 pounds when I had lost 5 pounds at the beginning of going raw. I have not done much excercise this last week . But guess what last year this time I weighed 3 pounds more than I do now. So to me that means I am getting heathier and eating better each year. Last night I made nuts bars from this website, cashew hummus from this site, fuggy balls from Allisa's book, dried pears, dried zuccini chips, dried pineapple, stuffed mushrooms from this site. All was great. I had the hummus for breckfast. This morning I am drying more pears, and from this site I am marinating tomatoes in olive oil, basil, garlic, thyme, rosemary to get ready to dry them tonight. I have the fridge full of fresh veggies for green smoothies. I AM READY FOR THE NEW HEATHY AND HAPPY YEAR 2006. I am not perfect and this site has allowed me to see others are not perfect either but that there is support and great recipes out there to be shared. H A P P Y N E W Y E A R ' S

Here is another saying I use. All I can do is all I can do. So far this morning greens/carrott/apple juice. A couple delictable dehydrated tomates, recipe from this site, and about to make a fruit smoothie with hemp protein. Hope your new year has started well. take care

yes, indeed, I follow your lead ...

I too, have rededicated my intent to raw after on/off/on/off and Holiday slides. Part of my dedication includes taking the Level I / Raw Chef class next week-end, and the Level II / Instructor class in March, to give me connection with others fixing Raw, as well as to help give me more experience and options to keep Raw invigorated in my life :D

Good luck on your classes. As for me I am using this site for ideas and Alissa's book. But believe it or not at first I wanted to make a lot of recipes but now tonight and last night I had huge salads. I did 2 different dressings that I found on this site though and they were yummy.
