raw hempseed - best vendor? best price?

I'm considering adding raw hempseed to my diet. My local health food store has not yet fulfilled my request for the seeds, and it's been over 2 months. Guess they don't want to get stuck with them if I'm the only person buying.

I've looked on the internet, but it's hard to tell who has the "honest" raw hemp seeds, best quality, best service etc. Only folks who have ordered online can really know which vendors are honest, with the best products and prices. If you have ordered online, what was your experience?

Please let me know - feedback requested!

Which online vendor did you use?
What was the quality of the product?
Did you get hulled or unhulled hempseed?
What was the price per pound?
How was their shipping speed/packaging/shipping cost?

In Canada, I buy Manitoba Harvest from natural foods stores. It is certified organic and their hemp seeds are raw. I know the U.S. has funny laws about hemp products, thinking that you're going to smoke it instead of eat it. Perhaps that could be why you've had difficulty. I have bought online in the past from www.rawganique.com, and have been very pleased with their service/products/prices. I don't remember how many ounces the package was, but it was about $10, I believe. They also sell raw hempseed butter, which is absolutely heavenly! The charge for shipping is only $5, and this covers any amount of merchandise you purchase at one time, without regard to weight. So it's a good idea to buy a few things, and stock up.

My local Whole Foods has lately been stocking the raw hempseeds, so I haven't bought any from rawganique for a while. But, I really love the hempseed butter, and can't find it anywhere locally, so I might need to be placing an order soon!

I'm going to call each company on Tuesday and I'll visit the websites today, and see what's going on.
Good to know there are excellent vendors out there. It's hard sometimes trying to find a good vendor. Sort of like trying to find a good dentist from the yellow pages directory!
