I'm so excited .... I received an Excalibur dehydrator, Alissa's book and CD, and two other books, Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People, by Jennifer Cornbleet, and Instant Raw Sensations, by Frederic Patenaude. My biggest problem is I don't know what to make first! My sweet in-laws (who gave me the dehydrator), also gave me a gift certificate to my health food grocery store, even though they think I'm a bit off for eating this way. Hubby bought packages of almonds, walnuts and pecans, and put some spending money in between the packages. I thought that was so sweet and showed how supportive he is of me ..... who else would know how much I need nuts and clothes :D

That's wonderful! I also received an Excalibur for Christmas too! I'm also having the difficulty of figuring out what I want to make in it!
Jennifer Cornbleet's book is awesome! I've made a few things from it. Have fun experiementing!

I received enough money for Christmas to buy myself a new dehydrator and Alissa's book....I also ordered a saladacco! I can't wait to get my stuff! DH was very encouraging....telling me to order the dehydrator! Everyone around me can see such a change in my skin coloring, I'm loosing weight, and my attitude is just pleasant, and cheerful....not at all like the old depressed version of myself!! Have fun experimenting! I have an awesome recipe for eggplant tacos....I'll post it in the recipe section. Even my SAD food relatives ate them all up during Christmas dinner! :D They are YUMMY!

Where did you get Patenaud's book ? I've had trouble finding it ?

Both were at Amazon.com. They both have such simple recipes and had good reviews. I think once I try a few, I will get comfortable with whipping up a couple a week. We juice 3 nights a week for dinner, so I really just need a couple of meals made up for the week - plus snacks ;)

CONGRATULATIONS, on such wonderful Christmas presents.
I love Alissa's enchiladas, and I've heard her Calzone is amazing.
so, these would be something you might like to try.
Happy dehydrating.
