you can find out info at http://www.ultimatelife.com/Home.htm basically its supposed to be a live, raw, vegan pulverised meal with supposedly everything you need in it.

The ingredients look very good. The endorsment says it is good especially after a workout. I would consider using this as I am always a bit "off" after working out. Even though I take a fresh pressed green drink with me into the gym and have a smoothie in the car waiting for me.
However if it were not for the above issue I would try to get my nutrients naturally; however having said that I do take a green algae supplement & probiotics regularly as I am prone to candida.
Cheers,
EPPP :)
So, is the Ultimate Meal raw????

Yes, it is raw.

sooo does anyone have any great recipes for making it taste better???? I've been using it the past week, but didn't use the recipe provided (cutting down on fruit for candida); on its own its just ick...hoping someone can help me jazz it up a bit.. :p
Are we sure this product is raw? If you read the ingredients, it has rice and pea protein in it...how is it possible to make these things raw? Are they just ground up rice and peas?
Also, the Ultimate Meal Bar (though I realize they're no longer making it) has lots of non-raw ingredients (brown rice syrup, rice krispies, etc.), which makes me wonder about the drink as well.
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade -- I would love to find a raw meal replacement powder to use while traveling, but I'm not so sure about the ingredients in this one. Has anyone actually contacted the company and received a response you care to share?

I haven't contacted the company yet (but now that you mentioned it I will); on the package it does say raw. As for the pea and brown rice, I don't see why they can't make it raw, I have used NutrioBiotics Brown rice protein which is raw (low temps used below 98), I assuming its the same process used or something similiar. I'll post what I find after I call (I'll specifically ask what the highest temp they use while prccessing)

Kris, have you tried raw hemp protein? It's available from various companies.
THIS (http://www.nutiva.com/) is the one I have used; but I've seen other brands. This one is good.
Yes, I love raw hemp protein powder -- so tasty in smoothies, and it helps me get in more calories in the AM hours. I use Living Harvest brand because it is what my health food store carries, and I think it's great.
That said, I don't think I could drink it straight, just mixed with water. I was wondering about the Ultimate Meal drink because there is a new line of products called Vega (www.myvega.com) developed with the help of Brendan Brazier (a vegan triathlete), and I was hoping their new meal replacement drink would be raw. I contacted their company though, and they said that their bars are 100% raw, but their drink is only 35% raw, which is not raw at all in my book. Not sure why you'd even bother saying something is 35% raw. But that's another issue.
Anyway, the "chocolate" Vega bar is great if you can get access to it. It's similar to a Power Bar, but quite a bit more tasty. But I'm still hoping there is a 100% raw meal replacement drink out there for traveling ease. Keeping my fingers crossed about this one...

I just bought this yesterday and have been adding it to green smoothies. Yumm! I am SO glad to have found this as being on raw in the beginning I sometimes lose strength to workout, but I am hoping this will help with that. Good stuff!!

I second Vega bars. Brendan Brazier is great. He's high raw, as I understand it and an incredible athlete. His supplement, though, as kris mentioned isn't raw because the ingredients he wants aren't available raw.
kris I also agree about the hemp alone -- not tasty! I find the raw rice protein is good alone, though. The hemp is excellent in green smoothies. It adds body and richness too.
Best,

still using ultimate meal a few times a week, in green smoothies-heavy on the green-right after working out with weights. Actually I'm doing the firm and kathy smith cardio with weights workouts. I can just feel my muscles "suck it up" it's pretty cool. I like it and will use it unless and until my body doesn't seem to want it.

Hello! I was in the same situation; using the Vega meal replacement, when necessary, even though only 1/3 raw. I have recently discovered Garden of Life 'Raw Meal' and it is 100% raw and delicious!!! I mix mine with hemp milk and a small banana, or 1/2 fresh fruit juice, 1/2 nut milk/coconut water and a small banana. It's a great quick breakfast for when I'm on the go, plus it keeps me full for up to 5 hours, if absolutely necessary! Hope you find this helpful :)

Ultimate Meal is not raw. Vega is partially.
