Hi all,
I've been looking at these boards for some time and even posted a few months ago. But at that time, I couldn't make the commitment as I was in a 12 step program for food that conflicted with being able to go raw. But I've been wanting to raw, or at least mostly raw for a while now, so I left the program and am floating on my own for now. The program worked as long as I worked it, but once I had a slip, I ended up on binges that would last days. I put on about 40 lbs in the last 4 months after having been around my goal weight for almost 2 years. My one concern about going raw is the nuts. I love nuts, even raw. There are so many recipes with nuts. Has anybody had problems with these legumes? Also, any suggestions on what to eat and not eat to take off these 40 lbs will be appreciated. I am practicing raw right now,but haven't gone totally. I'm eating a sprouted wheat bread that has no flour in it, but I don't think it's raw.
I have tons of raw books, but I've only just ordered Alissa's book and DVDs. I even expressed mailed them so I can get them quicker. I plan on starting the 30 day challenge on January 1st.
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you on these boards.
Thanks
Lynn
