This is my challenge that is starting NOW.
The NOW challenge.
I am starting my 30 day now.
I have been waiting for my family to give up the junk; but I guess i must do what is best for me.
The kitchen is "MINE" and I have informed my children if they wish to have junk food; they must buy iy with there own money and it must be stored in there OWN bedroom.
My kitcher is for healthy food only.
Everyone is pretty cool with this rule; we disscussed if they want to have cold foods (junk foods) we will talk about buy the children a small electric frig for their own room. (big enough for a few things, nothing big)
But so far no one want s that yet.
My husband if pretty much on my side when it comes to junk food; but it is the kids I battle with.

ANYWAYS this is the beginning of my challenge and a new YEAR as well as a NEW LIFE!!!

I want to change my life NOW.
I want to be healthy NOW; not later or tommorow.
I want to live NOW, i dont want to put it off anylonger.

Great!!!!!

You can do it! I'm not very good at updating my journal but I'm going to get through this too. It's hard living with cooked people mainly because there isn't enough room in the fridge for my food.

Do you have Alissa's book yet? There are great recipies in it that your family might like too. My roommates have liked everything I've given them so far but they just can't commit.

Way to go!

Watch for bugs in the kids rooms. Even before going raw if the kids got treats I told them to keep in their rooms, yes I am a weak, still the kids candy, mom. After coming home from vacation to find a mass ant invasion in my daughter's room I now explain that treats must be in ziplock bags. After taking my Bichon dog to the vets for an emergency call after Easter, she ate my daughter's chocolate rabbit her grandfather had given her, I explain not only must be in baggies but in a drawer. Our school system is also about to eliminate all high fat foods, this even means no cupcakes or cookies for birthdays or holidays at school parties. Is you schools doing this? Pretty soon kids will have to buy only at stores and consume in car, not bad idea maybe it will be too much trouble to eat.
