For the last two weeks, I've been doing major heavy labor at one of my rentals, (I won't even start with all the challenges, but we are gutting it and almost starting from scratch--its' that bad), but I am working with two strong young men. I am 52, they are in their 30's.

I am 250 pounds, they are fit and supposedly healthy.

I am working with no food, no coffee, no sweets, no breakfast, no lunch and only raw dinner.

They are drinking huge coffees, with muffins for breakfast, then muffins and coffee for snacks, then Micky D's for lunch or pizza, and then afternoon snack, and then a big meat dinner.

They can't keep up with me, they are tired after about 4 hours, I keep going for about 10 hours.

They can't believe I'm not eating, and I'm telling them that this is why I can work so much longer than they can.

They think I'm nuts, I think they are uneducated.

I finally got one to work without food today, but he said at about 3PM he was getting shakey from lack of food.

So, I gave him a big glass of fresh spring water, and told him to rest as long as he would for a lunch, and when he came back, he felt pretty good. I also made him go outside in the sunshine, even though it was 26 degrees today.

he said he felt pretty good, until about 6pm, but that was fine, because I had been working since 5am, and I was getting a little tired too. He started at 10am.

LOL

I think this is funny.

But, then life always is.

I wanted to thank you for your post. The last one about your rental and how the cooked food was everywhere, on the walls in the overflowing garbage and elsewhere. And this one have been very inspirational. I’m trying to get my mine ready to go raw again at new years. In the summer of 03 I was 99% for a month and a half. I loss 50 pounds felt better than I had ever but jest fell back into the ease of sad lifestyle. Not that raw is hard I jest have a power thing about being able to go to a window and tell them I want stuff and getting stuff back.

Anyway jest wanted to thank you. I’m mostly a raw wannabe but your helping me see why I need to get off my but and jest began my new life.

I am so sorry the rental situation turned into such a project, I have renters moving out of one of my houses in April and thankfully they've been wonderful tenants but it isn't always that way!

But the power of raw and energy is really a testimony isn't it! I've noticed the past few months of holiday shopping for 8 or 10 hours straight with the crowds, traffic and stress (commuting to Seattle by ferry and hitting the big malls!) that at the end of the days I am not the least bit tired or stressed or agitated. I feel like I could just keep right on going like the Energizer Bunny! I am out-shopping gals half my age, now this is nothing compared to the physical work you are doing but I used to poop out on shopping trips after a few hours. I would be exhausted and cranky and just want to go home! I'd be like a little kid and squat down on the floor and have a fit till someone would take me home! Ha!

Yeah to the power of raw!

GREAT JOB!!!

I BET THEY WERE JEALOUS AND AMAZED!!

I am loving having energy after I do eat..when others tend to fall asleep or get groggy and grouchy!! I find it wonderful and a gift to give my body the real minerals it needs--then it is not "starving" for them through poor food choices. I love having muscle definition and telling people I do not eat a drop of meat...they are amazed...:) Keep going Rawpriestess!! I know who to call when I need work done :p
