pain relief?

I am looking for a natural, either herbal or homeopathic pain reliever. My 10 year old daughter will be starting orthodontics right after the first of the year and I want to avoid the tylenol they recommend.

Ive heard cod liver oil can help with pain - there is a topical natural ibu-profin treatment that I used on my cheeks when my wisdom teeth were removed ,I got it at a local h.f.s. -you might want to google it?
