I see "CHIA" advertise small herb gardens; I live in NYC and I cannot have a garden. has anyone used these? For me I thought it would be a great way to keep fresh herbs on hand.
Any thoughts

just to add....you don't necessarily have to do it that way...you can pick up the plants already started at most nurseries, Walmart, even some grocery stores....then just stick 'em in a bigger pot and have fresh herbs! My mom started some in one of those long planter things, and separated them and labelled them, then as they got bigger she transplanted into bigger containers, she has a HUGE basil bush that I cut from every time I'm there!

Chias are so cute!
If you can, could you put a shelf by your window/s in your apartment ( do you life in an apartment in NYC ? I used to )... and pot your own. You don't have to grow a whole lot if you're going to harvest just a bit at a time to cook/prepare fresh.

lol @ ch-ch-ch-chia! Now it's in my head!
Speaking of heads, I avoided buying the big afro head chia. That guy's nose & lips are so annoying!
When I bought the herb garden, I got the last one on the shelf. Seems the chia seeds aren't as popular, I mean really, what can you do with them, but grow them and cut them. Would anyone eat them?
Well, maybe I'd use alfalfa or red clover instead of chia seeds.
Now I have another song in my head...
Clap on!
Clap off!
Clap on clap off....the clapper.

Sheesh, glad I'm not the only one who remembers those (many moons ago) :D
