Hi, my name is Michelle, and I'm new here (obviously).
I'm 22 year old student who lives in Norway. I have been vegan for maybe a year and vegetarian for 3 or 4 years before that. During the last month or two I've been hearing a lot about raw foods. At first I thought "raw foods? That's crazy. What will I eat?". Then it dawned on me that that's what I thought when I first heard of veganism, and that hasn't been a problem for me. I started looking in to raw foods and bought some books.
I just finished Shazzies 'Detox your world', and I can't wait to get started on a raw foods diet. However as I have my last final tomorrow I figured I couldn't have detox symptoms quite yet. I'm also going home over christmas and know I'll get hasseled if I'm raw, so I figure that starting tomorrow, I'll have raw meals for breakfast and lunch, and then starting over new years I'm going on a 3 day detox and from there on going 100% raw.
I'm super excited as I've gained some weight I'd like to loose, I've been depressed and I haven't been sleeping well. I was eating about 60% raw for a week, but I was getting detox symptoms, and that's no good when you need to fcus on finals ;) Although I have to say it was a little scary to realize that I have a lot of toxins in my body. I can't wait for 2006 to start! :)
