hey guys i would like to ask for anyone's help or advice for a school marketing proj. i'm working on...everyone selects a type of business they'd like to do and write out a marketing plan for it... i chose a raw/vegetarian organic grocery but i'm not sure for information on a lot of things...i hav some ?s that i could not find info for on the internet...but if you hav any knowledge of the topic i'd love to hear it!...

Random Questions:
1.organic stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods pay manufactuerers/producers for their produce and products but is it cheaper? couldn't they be their own manufacturere/producer?

2.one of the biggest ?s i was wondering are what are the costs it takes for organic farmers to grow their produce

3.and how much organic farmers receive in profits and organic grocerty stores in profits

4. what kinds of transition food to raw are out there? (For Ex. Manna Bread)

Everyone Can Answer These:
1.) How much are you willing to spend on organic groceries and other seperate produce you buy online like almond butter, coconut oil, nori sheets, etc.?

2.) At the grocery store, what do you purchase? produce and grains mostly or any pkged food like coconut oil, almond butter, etc.?

3.) What kinds of products do you buy online and why? (Quality, Price, Availibility, etc.)

3.) And if the other raw stuff usually sold online was sold at a store, would you buy it?

Thanks a bunch for any response you have! You guys are the best! :p

1, 2 & 3 would best be answered by TJ's, organic farmers, etc. Both WF and TJ are distributors. They'd have to set up a whole new industry to be creators and suppliers also which, IMO would be cost prohibitive. To be their own supplier of produce they'd have to purchase enough acreage to grow the crops, then hire people to farm it, etc. It certainly seems easier and more lucrative to purchase from others who are already doing that... especially if one farmer can't supply them, it seems likely another can.
