I am on day two of raw, and I am so sick at my stomach. I ended up eating a small bowl of pinto beans with some ginger on it to help. It did help, but I still have a headache, and just feel weak. I know I don't have the flu, so I don't know what is going on with me. I want to succeed with this, so am trying not do anything that will hurt in the long run.. I have not been on any vegan diet or anything, so I know my body of full of alot of bad things, but I didn't expect to get so sick at my stomach.
Thanks,
Sandy

You might want to go to the home page and read the section: "need to know more about raw?" Here's part of it:

I went through that for the first 2 days. I had terrible pain in my abdomen and felt like a truck had hit me. My stomach never hurts anymore. I'll still get a detox that makes me feel weak sometimes, but I mostly feel better. You're probably going through detox and will feel better in the long run.

amazing isn't it how much the body fights when it has to give up three "simple" things...

caffeene - processed sugar - processed flour

we call it "detox" to make us deal with it better - it is also "withdrawal" symptoms. our bodies fight when they have to give up on the toxins that they have been addicted to for a long time. i remember giving up smoking after 20 plus years... good lords above - the cravings/headaches/nausea hit me on the NEXT day - but persistance and a strong will paid off.

sometimes it is not "one day at a time" - but one HOUR at a time. each decisicion builds to the next.

good luck!! it WILL get better!!

texan hope it helped you to read about it.

Some folks trade one thing for another, like while detoxing from regular coffee, they will switch to decaf. That is helpful to some but in the long run may not be great if one cannot get off the decaf.

Just keep pushing through! The day is at its end - I guarantee tomorrow won't be as hard.
