I use to really love veggie burgers. I found a recipe in "The complete book of raw food" that so far sounds the same. However, it has nutritional yeast, which is not raw but supposedly good source of Vit. B. for Raw food eaters. Anyone got a recipe. I read the one in Alissa's book but don't sound like the ones I use to eat.

I really love the carrot-pecan burger in Alissa's book.
I used portabellas the couple of times I made them, and they do indeed feel veggie burger-ish. I really blend mine up to almost pate consistency before sticking them on the dehydrator.

I don't have a recipe, unfortunatley, but I, too, craved these really badly a while back, so I made some of my own. I used sprouted barley, portobellos, onions, jalapeno and whatever else I had--possibly a little ground flax to hold it together, but I can't remember. They turned out awesome!!
I tried to duplicate it again recently, but with far less care as to the amount of ingredients and they were nasty. Plus I didn't put the barley in the food processor and I think I used way too much barley that time.
Sorry I can't help with exact amounts, but know it CAN be done :) Basically what I did was read the ingredients on the box of veggie burgers and just did it raw.

Alissa's meat loaf is wonderful. Mine never made it to the dehydrator. I just wrapped it up in kale leaves.
Now, whether it tastes like what you are imagining is probably a different story.

I will try Alissa's meatloaf, and carrott-pecan burgers since no one has a recipe for Veggie burgers. I just was looking for something without nuts in it. So maybe the meatloaf is closer to what I am looking for.
