It all depends on what your daughter is specifically eating when her baby gets gas. Is is onions? Garlic? Peppers? Or ... ? Finding out the offending food -- whether your daughter is eating it raw or eating it cooked -- is the key.
Is she active in La Leche League? If not, a call to a leader will likely get her an immediate response. They're amazing and terrific as far as helping breastfeeding mothers.
I don't see this is as a raw issue.

i agree with that - both of my kiddos have had food issues. With my first child there was a whole list of veggies that i could not eat and with my daughter it has been different foods. I just tried eliminating various foods and seeing if that alleviated the problem. One that I have seen as a common one among some of the moms at my congregation is BREAD! That give them gassy constipated unhappy babes. If she is still eating bread you might suggest this one to her. brocoli? onions? garlic? cabbage? peppers?
Good luck :)
Hope she is able to get it figured out! It is hard when your baby is not happy.

There are still a lot of professionals that will try and tell you that Mom eating things like onions and broccoli can't make a baby gassy, but with my first I couldn't eat those or beans until he was over a year old. If she's eating any trace of dairy, a lot of babies react to that, too.
