I wasn't able to successfully stay on the Master Cleanse, but I am trying again tomorrow. I want to do the flush to go ahead and detox as much as possible so maybe it will be easier. What personally helps you stay on a fast/cleanse, keeps you motivated?

Oh, also, I've read that it is 1 quart, but read somewhere else that it's 2 quarts on the saltwater flush. Which is right?

Acording to this site it's one quart.

Hope this helps.

I'm at the end of a very hard day one. I barely kept the saltwater down this morning, it's a lot ! and it's gross but man did it work !

Did you try again today and how is it going ?

I should just go and buy Mr. Shultz's book.. and I guess I will.. but...

Those of you who've worked this system before: When you get to the point where you're going to do the morning salt flush... do any of you still eat afterward during the day? Or is that not adviseable?

I've yet to make it past the master cleanse lemonade. I come from near the ocean..and I remember how sick we used to get swallowing copious amounts of sea water after boogie boarding... the thought just sorta made me cringe thinking I might experience the same feeling after trying to down the flush.

Anyone try eating still?

That is exaclty what I thought of this morning as I was getting the awful stuff down ! It brought back memories of accidentally swalling salt water at the beach ! YUK !

while doing the salt water flush i found that eating during it rather than doing the MC resulted in the flush not being effective at all.

when done with only the MC it has definitely brought a lot of stuff out.

as far as the taste of the salt water..some add a bit of fresh lemon juice to help the taste. i found, however, that this only made it taste worse.

it's definitely a chore..i take 10 sips in a row, break, 10 sips in a row, break..etc. but it works :)

I have not reached the age quite yet where I am due for my first colonostopi (sp) but I know my dad had to drink some kind of salt drink he had to get from the pharmacy. He has low blood pressure and it was very hard on him. He had to live in the bathroom for most of the day and was very dizzy. I can't imagine going thru this for 10 days and still be able to work, take care of kids, laundry etc....
