I need some help from those of you out there more experienced then me. I have been raw for about 3.5 weeks and have lost 14.5 pounds. That's the good news.

But, for about 2 days, I have been feeling really sick. The kind of sick where your skin is super sensitive and you have a fever and you are always cold or hot, but never comfortable. My head hurts pretty much all day. Sometimes my stomach feels upset, too - that comes and goes.

I recently had to walk a long distrance at night (long story) in very cold tempuratures, so I think this might have caused or at least aggravated it.

But, I don't want to take any medicine because I'm raw and believe it will probably make things worse. I have to work MANY hours each week and don't have any sick days left this year.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do to feel better?

Congratulations! Your body is doing what it's supposed to ~ eliminating stuff that has no biz being there.

A few things you might do to assist:
skin brushing ~ helps the lymphatics do their job
hot and cold showers ~ brings one into balance
ememas ~ helps remove the toxins from the bottom up

BTW ~ "medicine" only covers the symptoms ~ it doesn't heal anything. IF you choose to take it (yes, I know you said you don't want to ~ just giving you a nudge in the right direction), you'll eventually have to detox not only what it stopped the process of detoxing yet also, the drugs themselves.

Happy detoxing! :)

Points up and nods at what Revvell said!

I just went through the exact same thing a week ago. I had the aches and chills and just flu-like symptoms.

What I did was:

-REST

-Ate LIGHTLY (meaning sticking mainly to light fruits like oranges though I did do bananas when I felt I needed something heavier) and as little as possible as when you are symptomatic, you want to allow the body to rest and give it's attention and energy to healing, not so much digesting of food.

-Drank WATER

I also did a couple of enemas

With that regimen I got over what USED to take a week or longer to get over in 2 days!

Hope you feel well soon and yes, happy detoxing/cleansing! :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I hope it goes away soon. It is not fun, and I am typically someone who takes plenty of pain-killers when this happens!
