Ok, I have eaten fruit for breakfast like 6 pieces or more for a while with no issues. Lately--in the winter the fruit seems to not settle as well and I have more IBS issues. (Since I work early AM and cannot do smoothies etc...I take fruit for breakfast and snacks until a break at 2*30ish. )

Here is my dilema--I have started peeling my apples and pears to avoid the gassy/bloats but now my blood sugar is having issues. I am ten times hungrier??? FYI I am senstive to spirulina and eat/juice a lot of greens in the afternoon and just CANNOT see myself eating them in the am?? Any suggestions??? that do not include nuts--I am allergic to them too??

Thanks

Try this for breakfast my husband loves it It might help
Crunchy Raw Cereal

1 small Sweet Potato (grated or flaked)
1/4 cup Raw Almonds or Walnuts (chopped & soaked)
1 Banana (sliced)
Sweet Almond Milk (From Rhonda’s Recipes for Life recipe book)

Mix first three ingredients together and pour Sweet Almond Milk over it. It’s crunchy, delicious, and won’t get soggy in the milk.

I have to watch the sugars in fruits too. How about combining the fruits with seeds or veggies to slow down the processing? Or coconuts? Thats what I do. I push the greens a lot and that keeps me steady. I avoid high glycemic fruits or limit them too. But put some hempseed (even 1 TBSP will make a huge difference and it makes it creamy), greens, or fresh coconut into your smoothies! Another option is a greens drink with fresh fruit.

Nopal Cactus helps level blood sugar. It slows down the absorbtion into your system so your body has time to make the insulin. Healthforce Nutritionals makes it. It's in a lot of healthfood stores. It also helps with colon health and other issues, so it might just be the ticket for you!

Switch to Green drinks and limit the fruit to the high fiber ones non tropical high sugar like apples.

Do you have a juicer ? if so you can prepare the veggies the night before, rinse, set aside then in the morning I can do a Green drink in 5 min....put in container and go... add some greens like spirulina chollera wheat grass in pill form and pop them in the morning.

I have some great green drinks in my journal.

If you have to it is OK to make the smoothies (green drinks) at night before bed. If you fill to top, add lemon..it will preserve some enzymes (as it does if you sprinkle lemon on an apple that has been cut open..) . that is an option to.
