I found some fennel seeds in my cabinet I had bought right before I went raw for tea. I love that smell, so I soaked them in water last night and now try to sprout them. I was thinking about grinding the sprouted seeds, mix with honey and dehydrate. Did anyone do something similar like that here? Maybe I need more ingredients to make it work?

When I think of fennel, I think of black licorice. One of our members, Truthseeker, was out for a recipe for black licorice and I suggested using fennel, raisins, and something else. So, she reported back after making some Halloween treats for her children and herself and this is what she said....

The licorice tastes JUST LIKE BLACK LICORICE !!!! I am so excited about this one!
I used raisins, put them in a small bowl (as you can see there) sprinked a bit of fennel and dashed a bit of anise extract. Hand mixed it up and BAM !!! LOL....... BLACK LICORICE !!!! Even our SAD neighbor (who doesn't like black licorice) said it was "pretty good" and tasted "just like the store bought", she doesn't like the reg. black licorice because of it's texture, but she loves raisins! I think the raisin texture is pretty close to a soft licorice texture, it was perfect !
Couldn't be eaiser !!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU , THANK YOU !!!!

So...if that is the kind of thing you're after, you could try this! :)
