This is a great soup, I added a little extra diced jalapeno and some cayenne for fire.

This is with out a doubt, the best batch of Watermelon Tomato Gazpacho. It tasted great and I replaced the jalapeno with a habanera pepper, which is much hotter. I also added some cayenne pepper. I garnished with some carrot twist and an oregano sprig.

mmmm... looks great Samuel! I just got Alissa's book & DVD this week, I'm hoping to get time tomorrow to do some serious reading and viewing, this may just be one of the first recipes I try! I love watermelon. I'm going to see if there's anything good at the grocery store tomorrow in the way of melons.

My Watermelon Tomato Gazpacho is a recipe from Sarma Melngailis. It is a spicy soup and then I turn around and intensify the spicy flavor by adding more herbs and a pulverized habanera pepper. (pulverizing the habanera pepper releases the oils and makes it much hotter than just dicing it)

Alissa's Watermelon Soup is more straight forward. If you have half a whole watermelon and 2 mangos, you have the main things you need to make Alissa's Watermelon Soup.

The Watermelon Tomato Gazpacho needs watermelon, tomatoes, cucumber, and bell pepper to make the bulk of the recipe. Then you need lime juice, cilantro leaves, fresh ginger, jalapeno pepper (habanera in my case), green onion, celtic sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to finish it. I add a fresh ground gourmet pepper blend to it as well to give it more of an international taste.
