Hi friends,
Does anyone remember this old favorite-- Pot pies? I use to buy them when I ate cooked food and I loved each and everyone I ate. Now when my mind goes back to how they made me feel I sigh, old memories die hard.
I have been trying to come up with a crust that I could use to put a vegetable filling into and place in my dehydrater, could any of you help me with this project.
I know some of you remember a favorite food that you were able to recreate and know you overjoyed to have made it raw, so if you can help me I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks.

Ann..I am making a mental note to remember to get the recipe for you!! I checked a ton of books out of the library and remember seeing a recipe for veggie pot pie.. I'll try to find it tonight.

Thank you,
You have no idea how long I've waited to make another pot pie.
Happy Days are coming again.
Thanks for making my day. Glad to know there are others that remember them too.

I made a quiche that had a wonderful savory crust (dehydrated until crisp) that was made with zucchinis, almonds, and flax. I remember thinking it would be great for any sort of savory pie. Here's a link to the recipe:

I've also seen a raw shepherds pie recipe somewhere but I can't remember where. If your pie comes out tasty, please please post the recipe!! My family would thank you. :)

Well, I LOVE Alissa's tortillas, and depending on what dish you make it in and how long you dehydrate it for, I think it would make a great pot pie crust.
