I've always sticked to the same foods everyday and used to always enjoy my foods. For some reason I can't do that anymore! I used to always eat like 15-18 bananas a day and 1 very larg salad with 4-6 cups of lettuce, 1 medium tomatoe and a little bit of cucumber & onion.
For some reason this past year I can't enjoy sweet fruits anymore! I can only enjoy oranges, grapefruit, strawberries and melons. I know melons are really sweet, but since they have alot more water in them then I can enjoy them. Plus I can't really enjoy a salad anymore. Now I like just eating some raw spinach and eat my things that I would put on my salad by there selfs. The only Problem is eating this way is way too hard to keep getting enough carbs and calories for the day, especially during the winter. I end up getting so low on carbs I end up eating a large baked potatoe at supper with my raw spinach. I know that's not good, but this cold weather get's me burning alot more carbs then during the warm weather. I don't eat much fats because it makes me more lazy, breaks my face out and makes me more tired!! So I try to just add more carbs to my diet. When I eat my potatoe I don't add any fat to it, I just add a little salt to it (I know that's not good either, but that's one addition I still have a problem getting away from)!!
I also do like 45 minutes of exercise everyday! I do like 30 min. of tae-bo, 10 min. of rebounding, 5 minutes of pushups & squats (I just started on this, so I'm going to work up on this (but that's why it's only 5 minutes) I used to do like 1 hour of tae-bo, but I had to decrease it for the winter or I would burn even more calories and it would be even more harder then it is now!! Actually I would love to find some very arobic exercises that are more fun to do. So far though tae-bo is the only thing that seems to be arobic enough for me!!
I just ordered a juicer, so maybe when I get it I'll do a juice fast and can get rid of all my additions! I thought also when I get my juicer that I could increase my carbs by having some juice through out the day, maybe then I won't need that potatoe!!
Has anyone else experienced this before? Does anyone know what I can do to help my carb problem? Any information would be great! Thanks in advance! Have a great day!

I don't see where you have a carb problem. My feeling is, you need to get away from seeing foods as carbs, fats, proteins, etc. and just enjoy your food. As the fruits you mentioned are loaded with nutrients I can't see how you could possibly be low on vitamin C. How did you get to that?

ALL natural foods contain carbs, fats and proteins. Some are just more densely packed with different ones.

What fats are you talking of? Nuts? how about avocadoes? How do you know you are "low on carbs"? compared to what?

Try this ~ eat what you want, whenever you want and let your body assimilate it ~ long as it's raw. It seems you are "trying" to control what your body wants/needs. Keep lots of raw foods available and let your body choose as it will.

Revvell, is what I ment about the vitamin C. Is I never ate any of the acid fruits. I only stuck to the sweet fruits like the bananas!!
Is what I mean about the carbs is that I get too weak. like I need more fuel! Fats don't do that for me when I eat them. All fats do is make me more tired and worse then before. When I mean fats I mean nuts, seeds and avocados!! I keep my fats low because they run me down and keep me from wanting to exercise and make me want to sleep more!
I hope you understand I just don't do good with fats or I would be able to stay 100% raw!!
Thanks for your help!

My understanding (and how I noticed the way my body worked) is that more greens equals energy. You're already doing spinach... what about doing more or doing kale? Fruit just gives me a buzz but greens keep me going long and strong.

Contrary to popular belief, carbs do not give you energy. They used to tell us to bulk up on carbs before a race like lots of pasta. It gives you something to burn in that half hour or so that you're busting butt on the track but then you crash hard, like a sugar or coffee crash. Then you're worse of than before.

Greens are sustainable energy... stamina.

Thanks sachis2112, I'll do that!! Actually that's what I've been craving, but I thought I might be eating too much of them! I mean at supper I've been eating like 4-6 cups of the spinach. Spinach is my favorite green, I don't enjoy lettuce much anymore (spinach I can eat plain, but not lettuce)! I don't like having salads anymore, I like eating my vegetables and greens by there self!!
Thanks again, I think I found out what my body needs! I'll start eating more greens!! Have a great day!
